Ok… so I have never thought much of STP because I thought they were a mainstream Pearl Jam rip and I didn’t care much for PJ either.

I feel like they always got a lot of shit — Weiland was such an easy target with all the posturing and generally debauched rocknrollery, but they were really pretty damn great. Purple’s such a good record.

I don't usually go in for rap music, but this guy Ren has a decent YouTube channel and has just dropped a great album called Sick Boi. Just been giving it a listen, he's got a real talent as a lyricist in my opinion.
This is the first track of his that I noticed on YT. Recommend a listen:

@EdH "Hi Ren" is a really rare gem of a song. It's unforgettable like when I first heard "I'm Not Racist" by Joyner Lucas a few years back.

In case anyone is wondering I first heard abour Ren from Justin Hawkins (the lead man from The Darkness). I've been following his YT channel for the last couple of years. It's been great for music discovery. He does these 10-15 minute reaction videos to tracks new and old. Worth a follow for all things rock.
