Ah! Yeah that hank dying means done by hand, right?

No, it means that the hanks of denim are dunked in indigo (may be by hand, but not necessarily) and the fibres absorb the indigo, as opposed to the more normal method of indigo dyeing denim which is rope dyed, where the indigo oxidised to the surface and does not penetrate the core.

@Daniel-San sorry to high Jack this thread, but I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy the left hand twill ….

I thought o read here somewhere that they are stiffer than the right hand twill. Are you saying L hand twill are softer?

the are super soft . Same like the normal 21oz or even more soft , at least mine are.
Guess you think of the 19oz lefty , as the 21oz are not available anymore ( except Japan) .
The 19oz is a different thing 😁, as mentioned before in this thread.

@Daniel-San thank you for that! Yes I must’ve read about the 19oz then.

                  Appreciate the clarification!

The obvious answer is the 21 oz Super Black. 😉

I'm finding the 14oz BB to be fading pretty slow. Not seeing much gray at all yet, they're just really shiny. I love the denim though, fade or not. It creases hard AF.

@WhiskeySandwich yup I have the western shirt in that denim and it is super stubborn. Not as stubborn as the Mad Black though.

@Oaktavia Oh yeah i believe that 100%. Just the idea of a double-overdyed indigo.... they must be the toughest. But once you get to that core, I'll bet they'll have some depth to em. Did I see that you're repurposing them to fancy-pants? That's pretty much how I'm treating these BBs so far.

I have stages for all my things in rotation. When still looking fresh, they get frequent wear for pretty much every occasion except dirty work. Then once they reach a certain point, they get worn for everything until the first hole, then they stop going to work, and start being less used. But I usually wear my clothes till they're in tatters at the dirty work stage.

Digging the IBs, but don't think I'm down with 25oz. Those things seem to go fast tho and look great!
