@jerkules depends where they are made and to which specs. They’re both classics with the München being a variation on the Spezial.

From the look of these variations the München is likely the poorer quality product, but its purple af so gets my vote. Truth is that only a few issues a year are top quality, but on the other hand, they’re sneakers… I’ve had poorer quality keds last years while OG quality material shoes have died after one summer. Go with the colour you like best.

@neph93 appreciate the wisdom mate. I’ve also just seen some cordura/suede versions of the handball spezials that look pretty nice. Thing I like about these lines are the amount of colours to choose from, but I’m getting overwhelmed by choice

Cordura/suede versions will likely be robust. I suspect the choice and variety is deliberate to encourage over-consumption. Some folks end up with 50 pairs. Me. I’m some folks

Sizing can be a bit tricky with Adidas, they tend to be slim and long, although I am not familiar with these exact models, but have two pairs of running shoes.

@Dmart true story. Although the OG casual models tend to stretch nicely. I take half a size (if leather or suede) or a whole size (if synthetic) up from Nike for example.

Bringing this back from the dead. I‘ve been looking at the Spezial made in Germany version and wondered if anyone already tried them and can comment on the quality of materials etc compared to the made in Vietnam version.

I tried the regular made in Vietnam version on at a store and the fit and feel of the shoe on my feet was great but in my hand, I wouldn‘t really say it‘s worth 110€ full price. One can find these on sale for less which makes it more appealing but recently I‘ve had sneakers dying on me at a rapid rate after only 1 season. Looking for a pick up which will last a few years.
