At 50% off of their MSRP I gave the Ultra Boost another chance and now I nailed the fit. Usually I wear a US 12 in running shoes (e.g. asics, Nike, Puma, New Balance and even older adidas) but the UB were way too large so I went for my regular shoes size this time which is US 10,5D / US 10E and they fit pretty nicely (I've chosen adidas 44 2/3 that equates to a US 10,5). They're snug but comfortable to walk in as they fit like a sock and will stretch over time as well. I am a tiny bit worried that my big toes might cause tears in the front in the long run but let's see how the mesh holds up over time. Not planning to run in them so this might help preventing any damage. Their design did grow on me and by now I think they're a really great looking pair of sneakers. The comfort is amazing as expected and besides my beloved Nike Free (currently Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0) they're definitely my most comfy shoes right now that I can easily wear the whole day. Once the sizing has been worked out the Ultra Boost are highly recommendable!
P.S.: I am not digging the current colourways of the latest Ultra Boost 19 and glad I snagged these 4.0 in a classy (some might even say boring) black.

Finding it difficult to chose between these Munchen and Spezial’s. Never owned a pair of adidas before, anyone in the know care to say which is comfier, harder-wearing etc? They look super similar to me, other than the colour.

@jerkules depends where they are made and to which specs. They’re both classics with the München being a variation on the Spezial.

From the look of these variations the München is likely the poorer quality product, but its purple af so gets my vote. Truth is that only a few issues a year are top quality, but on the other hand, they’re sneakers… I’ve had poorer quality keds last years while OG quality material shoes have died after one summer. Go with the colour you like best.

@neph93 appreciate the wisdom mate. I’ve also just seen some cordura/suede versions of the handball spezials that look pretty nice. Thing I like about these lines are the amount of colours to choose from, but I’m getting overwhelmed by choice

Cordura/suede versions will likely be robust. I suspect the choice and variety is deliberate to encourage over-consumption. Some folks end up with 50 pairs. Me. I’m some folks

Sizing can be a bit tricky with Adidas, they tend to be slim and long, although I am not familiar with these exact models, but have two pairs of running shoes.

@Dmart true story. Although the OG casual models tend to stretch nicely. I take half a size (if leather or suede) or a whole size (if synthetic) up from Nike for example.
