        Despite my best intentions, my office will probably look the same long after travel restrictions are lifted, so I shall look forward to you coming and sorting me out!

        I'll have to make it over to Gosport sometime soon to see everyone. Not sure when that'll happen in the current climate, though.

          Belgium's (finally) locked down…

          Making a quick stew... Quorn sausages, quorn filets, onions, peppers, olives, tomatoes (canned, don't buy tomatoes during winter), passata, beans, lotsa of cayenne pepper and sweet pepper...

          Other than that…

                While we’re on the theme this is my «fuck the virus vegan curry» today. Red onions, mustard and karve seed, sweet potatoes, lentils, chick peas, tomato, assorted spices and some vegetable stock. Takes an hour from prep to the table and will feed all seven of us twice.

                        And, for good measure, I've decided to start making bread again.  Not sure that this one will turn out too good.  But I have 73kg of flour in sacks inbound.  I'll get better…..

                                      You may know it already as Persian cumin or caraway seed. Earthy, aromatic and similar to fennel seeds, but with a stronger taste of liquorice. They use it to flavour akevit and pickled herring up here.

                                        G the bread you gifted me years ago was fantastic… Honestly: for me there's nowt better than some slices of outstanding sourdesem bread, salted butter, good cheese, and an excellent bottle of red...

                                            Ah yes, caraway seeds - I use it with braised cabbage quite a bit to bring that to life a little
