The first 2 times buttoning nearly any heavy, burly, stiff denim I've had is excruciating. I usually use a flat head screw driver on the back of the button to push it through the buttonhole. After a wash they're all fine after the 4th or 5th time.

How have you not accidentally stabbed yourself, Mpukas? Or am I misunderstanding the use of the screwdriver in this scenario?

I get the bottom half of the button flange through the button hole, then use the flat edge of the screw driver parallel to the back of the upper half of the button flange to push the rest through through, while trying to pry the top half of the button hole fabric over. Mostly I use a flat head driver bit cuz it's small, but I'll use anything handy that I can fit between the fabric and back of the flange. 😎

Must be quite the occasion for the other patrons to witness if you need to pull this off at a public toilet. 😎

I usually only have to resort to this once or twice, so by the time I venture out in public it's not a problem.

Never thought buttoning a fly would draw so much attention…  😉

Anyone please tell me what’s the different between regular xhs and xhsib ? I know the different weft but I mean how’s the fabric? Did it stiff as same as xhs or more stiff ? Or maybe much hotter while wearing  than xhs or more comfortable xhs ? I have a plan for buying this..

I haven’t gotten my hands on a pair of these in either the 555 or 888 personally, so I’m speculating here…but, it is the same denim as the standard indigo XHS. The only essential difference is the way it is dyed. This may affect the hand of the denim in the same way the OD process affects the way the 21oz feels to the touch, but it’s biggest affect will be aesthetic, the way the denim looks out of the bag and when it evolves. I doubt whether the reactive dye has a meaningful, long term affect on the other properties you mention, like the stiffness, comfort and so on.

I didn't notice a difference… not like OD stuff in terms of how it feels under hand. It really is lovely and I am glad I changed my mind about buying these. In the sunlight the colour is beautiful.

                              Ohhhhhh that constitutional stitching!

I guess my notification e-mail was put in spam for some reason. Glad I decided to look at the website today! Grabbed a pair of 38 of these. I have been waiting for the these since I first saw them months ago. Plus the ladies gift card and $50 card from IH, made it all so easy 🙂

Can't wait to get this beautiful denim!

                                    😃  That was great.

This drop has been a serious test of willpower so far.  Just having to keep focussed on the Lefty OD carrot dangling but a few days away… ;;_)

This will also be my first 888 from IH. Pretty dang close to my favorite 633 cut.

Really love the colour can’t wait to get hold of them

Should I soak them before getting them hemmed?
