IHSH-353-RED - 10oz Selvedge Denim Work Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Red

Our classic work shirt made from our 10oz selvedge denim that has been overdyed in red using what is known as direct dyeing. This method is more commonly used to dye lighter fabrics, but when overdyeing a darker colour it is more visible when the dye starts to fade, allowing high contrast to develop over time.

The only other example of overdyed red that comes to mind are the recent Tanuki x Redcast collab jeans. Those are still fairly new however, and probably aren't very faded yet by those who snagged them.

Best in show for me, though things can always change. For instance if the broken twill had wild fades, etc. but I just loved the way this looked and didn’t understand what it was while watching the presentation on mute initially. Knowing it’s a red overdyed indigo garment only makes it cooler.

Finding snaps that can be bought in small quantities is like finding decent jeans in Walmart. The crew and I have spent countless hours looking/researching/phoning/talking and have got basically nowhere.....
