I still haven't worn these since I picked them up at the 20th anni. I have 3 other main pairs in my rotation that I'm trying to break in before winter (666XHS, 777N, 666SII) so I knew I'd be in no rush when I picked them up. I think I'm going to wait until Jan 1 and then just throw them on and wear 'em every day for a month or two and see what happens. Or maybe wait a little longer and do the indigo invitational?

I very much doubt it. They’re made of polycotton which once coloured will retain its colour very well.

I just don’t like to wear clothes that are noticeable and I fear the bright yellow will make people notice them.
I’m intrigued by this sharpie idea. Won’t the ink get on the denim? Will they look really dark and weird?

The arcs may get a bit stained from indigo transfer but probably not too much because of the polyester. However, as the denim lightens, the contrast between the denim and arcs will lessen, making them less noticeable.

I don’t think they’re overly ostentatious like some weird mall jeans. No one would really notice. If you fuck with them you’ll regret it, trust me. You’ll be happy to have totally intact special edition jeans once they’re worn in and especially once they have gone extinct everywhere. Also, chainstitching can fail more easily than other stitches so the issue could resolve itself over time. Hard to tell since there’s no basis for comparison
In general when something is behind me, I don’t worry about it. Unless it’s chasing me.
