bloody hell! that's brilliant!

I couldn't figure out why those abandoned homes looked odd to me. It was the lack of graffiti, used needles, and trash we see here in the US.
Massive waves, remote island, even with incredible views, no squatters

Ahhh, a world without people. That sounds perfect!
Great shots and thanks for sharing G.

I'd give anything to be on those islands. almost reminds me of my days in the army with a coastal hook exercise. land on the beach, assault primary target..

I have not been on the forum for about 10 days, this has been an interesting read, to put it mildly.

Sorry, all went a little quiet. Who said bad things come in three's or as @goosehd surmised, perhaps I am the unluckiest guy around.
Anyway, on Wednesday evening after a good days fishing, we got back to the lodge and started cleaning our tackle. I popped inside to have a quick shower and change, came back ou=tside barefoot and did not notice that Szymon had been sluicing down the tackle on the marble steps. I slipped and fell quite dramatically, hitting my brow on the edge of the steps. Lucking Cyril is an ex-firefighter, knows what to do with cuts and stuff like that, and carries a really good first aid kit with him. He patched me up and we walked to the doctors surgery which, as luck would have it, was only 100 yards away. When I showed the nurse my wound (which I had not seen) her exclamation of "oh my God" did nothing to make me feel better
The doctor arrived and 7 stitches later and a load of paperwork, I was out of there. I did not fish the following day (not wanting to get the dressing wet with salt water), nor did I tell Paula until I was 3 minutes from home last night, as she had got pretty upset about the damage I had done to myself in the whale incident, so I did not want to wreck her week further.
A pictorial history:
I did go fishing on Friday and we had a brilliant day, lots of different species and my largest GT of the week (I'm guessing about 18kg). If the other buggers ever send me photos, I will post
