Oman Fishing 2022
-
Fishing so far has been good, but not outstanding. We have had a lot of Queenfish, Emporers, Rainbow Runners, Groupers and small Giant Trevally. My largest GT has been about 12kg and maybe the largest any of us have landed is 25kg. We start to get excited at 40kg, so we are well off that.
Yesterday we had dozens of hits from GT's, but most of them were coming up short, and we only contacted about 10 in total.
Another rod was broken (on a large GT that took from under the boat - basically you are screwed when this happens), bringing the total number of smashed rods at 3 so far for the week (I have not bust a rod, but Szymon bust one of mine for me…...FFS
)
Me and Szymon with a couple of Queenies we had yesterday. When the Queenies are around, I switch to very light tackle - it's amazing fun....

bloody hell! that's brilliant!

I couldn't figure out why those abandoned homes looked odd to me. It was the lack of graffiti, used needles, and trash we see here in the US.
Massive waves, remote island, even with incredible views, no squatters

Ahhh, a world without people. That sounds perfect!
Great shots and thanks for sharing G.

I'd give anything to be on those islands. almost reminds me of my days in the army with a coastal hook exercise. land on the beach, assault primary target..

I have not been on the forum for about 10 days, this has been an interesting read, to put it mildly.
