Today, we went to collect the tender. Next Monday we start our 5 day Day Skipper Theory course, @Madame Buttonfly took the opportunity to do some pre-course required swotting…..
The tender had to be partially deflated to get into the van, thank God I took the rear seats out of the van…..

Today, @Madame Buttonfly and I pumped up the rib, attached the outboard, started it (took me a little time until I found the fuel tap - in the end, Paula had to read the instruction manual, which as most men know, is a little bit cheaty), and took her to Pilgrim.
Here she is installed on the coach roof….

We did have a lot of fun today, after some cursing and after the "how you use the outboard motor" manual had eventually been consulted ::)

@giles, I think I saw that boating hat on clearance on Sonder, maybe you could also get an employee discount and keep that noggin from getting sunburnt.

This week is the hardest I have worked intellectually for over 40 years. But @Madame Buttonfly and I both passed. We have our 4 day practical on the boat booked for early July.
All I really want to do now is go to bed, but we have a party in London…..
