@Giles I'd be looking at getting a multifocal inter-ocular lens implanted, rather than LASIK, as that would also correct for presbyopia. Though my optician (a professor of ophthalmology) reckons that's a bad idea because it'll compromise your eyesight. He pointed out that no ocular surgeons have gone in for it, so if the professionals don't think it's worthwhile…

That said, a large JMM collection might cost more than eye surgery!
