The first of three events this week is today. I am heading up to Milford, Connecticut to see @Matty123 for some pizza and beer. Because we are heading to Philly later this week too, renting a car was far more appropriate for both trips.
What I hoped we had when I arrived:
The reality, which is still egregiously large for the "standard" car I chose when booking… #murica

The F250 is what we had last year. Great for towing a 10000 lb Airstream. Shitty for parking in a crowded parking lot.
Ultimately we chose the F250 because the rear seats were far enough from the front seats that the kids feet couldn’t reach. A feature whose benefits I’ve been constantly reminded of since we sold it.

No big pickup truck is complete without a set of Truck Nutz. It's a time honored tradition here in the states.

I really wish I could have been there. It would have been worth the 9 hour drive. Luckily it seems like I will be able to make it to Franklin and Poe tomorrow

Headed over to Barrier Brewing on Long Island to meet Evan and have a look around his operation. Seriously impressive set up, and amazing beer (we knew that already, though it didn't stop me from sampling some more!). Spent some time talking about
the next Iron Heart beer collabstuff. More details to come, but hoping we can get something sorted out for our USA market.For anyone in the LI area, the tap room is great. Good people, great food truck and cool music. Go check it out.

Damn @Matty123 those pizza's look excellent. My stomach has been grumbling since I saw them. Just how I like the crust also.

I had a great time today. Definitely worth the ten hours of driving.
I went and got an authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich from Joe's. It was amazing!!
I got to check out some of the FW21 stuff.

Meeting all 9 feet of Alex was pretty surreal. I got a few insider deets able stuff on the pipeline and I am so stoked for next year.
Also pictured is Ed @steelworker it was awesome to meet them.
Some pics of me were taken and I guess they will show up eventually. Thanks a lot to everyone for such a nice time.!! I need to go to stuff like this more often because I met a lot of nice people. Also, my mom had been asking me to get her a non-hooded sweatshirt for a long time now so it was cool to be able to get her a really nice one. And I got myself a pair of socks.

Even if I have to hijack a plane and fly there myself I am going to be at the party next year.
I've been playing Microsoft Flight Sim so I know how to be a pilot. (To the federal authorities I am kidding and being overly sarcastic to express the depths of my desire to go to the party next year)..
