@Oaktavia as an artist you’d be in heaven out here. As a shutterbug @Jett129 can back me up. Places like Sedona, Santa Fe, Taos, St George/Zion, etc are riddled with great galleries and artists who come here because of the inspiration that the landscape provides.

This part of the continent was under an ocean for millions of years, so there’s a lot of sedimentary rock in layers, topped by igneous layers in some cases. This “layer cake” gets worn away in beautiful ways leading to these alien looking features. Arches in Moab, vortices (towers) here, sheer cliffs everywhere. From underwater to arid desert. Pretty wild.

I put together an itinerary we will do one day in an RV that hits a bunch of these special places.

I'm sure I would be blown away by nature's art…maybe one day.

You could just drop me in any number of places from The Garden of the Gods to Zion to Sedona and come back 3 years later and I’d still be there taking pictures.

@tody Lake Ontario.  Just checked the marine report and the wave readings are 2-3.5 metres.

Still, that's a beautiful view. It's been a long time since I visited Toronto, must be close to 12 years now. We toured as far north as Percé Rock - those were the times, before the kids.

My gf and I have a ritual “lazy Sunday” where we do as little as possible. She works two jobs and I one, so Sunday is the day we get to spend time together or do solo things. I’ll probably pop into my indoor garden for an hour or so before we do a late breakfast and gym, and then decide if we want to go anything productive

Finished up this partitioned off room in my shop space today! All materials are beetle killed/standing dead local spruce including all the framing and joisting. Turned out pretty handsome I think.
