Sounds like you’re sorted, but The North Face makes great slippers. The Nuptse corduroy mules are slightly less fugly than their other models (which generally look like you wrapped the sleeve of a puffy coat around your foot) and have down insulation.

I have TNF slippers.  Love them.

I think our current Prince of Wales wore a pair of Crocket & Jones slippers to the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London last year.

You know, if you wanted a pair of slippers which would also be sartorially correct when you get invited to a movie premiere too…

        Take the dive...

@EdH I saw someone share a pair of slippers on here yesterday and I now need to upgrade from my Marks & Spencer pair I currently wear.

Surely not… M&S is the height of understated (middle) class. Also Xmas is coming and what’s Xmas without Marks and Sparks slippers?!

Nah, M&S has fallen hard in recent years. It's been trying too hard to compete with the GAPs and what-have-you, and really let the quality of its garments slip.

The food is still good, but is being squeezed hard by cheaper supermarkets due to all the food price inflation going on at the moment.

I apologise to both you and AJ. There is a an irony emoji now. I should learn to use it.

I fekkin hate M&S and always have. I take some mean delight in their hardships.

                      Which emoji is this?

                      Also, I had a question..

Are the non-IH brands available through the international site all part of the Works INC group?

If not, what determines what ends up for sale there as opposed to on a sister store like Sonder Supplies?

The brands are not a part of Works. GAH, SFK, OGL and PN (to name a few) are brands that for for one reason or another @Giles and @Alex have met and developed a relationship with through the years. They are fill a hole in the IHUK product line, or add a little something extra.

As for irony emoji, there is a limited consensus that it is this: [emoji854] Although I feel like a number could be used to convey irony in context.

Of course, emoji’s as a form of language are equally as unstable as words and sounds so there’s always the opportunity for disruption of the message between the sender and reciever(s).

                          @endo, close as I can get [emoji3550][emoji1665]

I met some of my wife's clients last night and they mentioned that they're going to be in Hakkaido for a week and he's interested in checking out some denim shops while there. Anyone have leads on where it would be worth looking?

The 21 oz and 14 oz denims are made with a "double twisted weft." I know the differences between weft and warp yarns, but what exactly is a double twisted weft? Also, what is its effect? And is this something unusual in denim?

It is unusual, I don't know of any other brand that does it.  There are 2 yarns twisted together to make the weft.  This allows us to give the denim weight, but not at the expense of wearability, the twisted weft is bulky but soft, as is the denim….

I was taking/slipping my engineer boots off by using my feet only, rocking the heel with my opposite toe. Usually this works just fine. Well this time my heel slipped and I slammed the front of my shin with it. Hard. Reminded me of my skateboarding days. Hurt like a mfer and left a bump.
