@Graham Very cool to know.  Are all of the workshirt buttons sewn on by hand (logical assumption) or do you use a machine?

Is there a particular brand/type/weight of thread that you use for buttons?  and I guess it would depend on the item being sewn…

Has anyone pimped an IHJ-104 chore coat?

I've got a black one, and keep on thinking it would look good with the black heavy duty snaps. I'm not sure if they'd be too small, though.

That is not something we have done and the black HD's are slightly smaller than the brass that are on there so would change the look quite drastically and there also may be a mark left from the outer ring of the old snaps as the blacks are smaller.

Copper would be a good choice as they are the same size as the brass.

If we ever do one with black snaps you can rest assured that they will be posted in here as well and I will make sure to tag you 🙂

The anni shirt release, plus the recent party at IHUK would have put a dent in that stock pretty quick. So it is possible they are gone for now.

I meant to upgrade snaps on my CPO and pick up Good art buttons for the top button on a couple shirts, but completely slipped my mind the whole time I was at the party. Too much going on!

Thanks @Graham, and sorry for the slow reply. Been in Germany over the weekend.

I hadn't thought about the original snaps leaving marks.

@lchprg just a quick one to let you know we have received your email detailing the above and we will reply via email to keep the comms concise. We will be in touch very soon

                            Hi Adam,

Can you let me know what the situation is with these copper snaps as I would like to add these as an option. But I would need them to be copper on both parts of the snap and not silver and copper.
Are they copper on both sides?

                            Thanks

Has anyone put copper snaps on the JC?  I like the black on black but maybe a top and two pocket copper snaps would punch it up a bit.

@ShiroEd the snap cap (Iron Heart branded) and the socket (female part of snap) will both be copper.  The stud (male part) and pose will not be replaced and therefore will be the original silver colour.

What do you guys call the lighter color permex snap?  It isn’t exactly mop, is it?  I associate mop with iridescence like the chambray westerns.  I like them a lot.  They’re used much less frequently than black.

I think of that as a true pearl snap (though the term is used colloquially I think for any Western snap shirt) versus a MOP snap.

                                          Think it, be it.

I'm guessing this has been answered before, but what size are the copper snaps? wanting to add a couple extra of the male ends to the cuff of my 292 and thinking of trying to do it myself. I have access to a press, do I need to use that?
