Lined rear pockets for the 17oz Selvedge Denim Natural Indigo jeans.  I personally have to cut and iron an iron on patch into the rear pocket I carry my cell phone in of any jeans with unlined pockets (including the NIN) or a hole will wear through within three months and then continue to get bigger over time.  I haven’t experienced this issue yet with the IH jeans with lined pockets and if it does occur it takes more than a year (for me currently).  The lined rear pockets is typically one of the many advantages of purchasing the IH quality and of being “iron’.  Not being negative here - the IH products are top notch - just throwing out a small area for potential improvement of a specific product.  John

Someone will correct me if this is wrong, but I think whether or not the pockets are lined depends more on the cut than the denim. 634 pockets aren’t lined, for example.

+1 for thicker pocket bag material on jeans. And also just bigger/deeper pocket bags in general. My hands barely fit much less my phone.

The buttons thing is a well known issue and does need a fix.

The pocket sizing is also a returning comment from users, but that is a design choice by Haraki-san and unlikely to change. Having stuff in your pockets while riding isn’t wise or comfortable. This is also the reason why the back pockets are pushed to the side. And the reason why IH make bags [emoji38]

I would be happy if the opening of the front pockets would be bigger/wider. For me they are deep enough, but the small opening is giving me rage sometimes.

I would disagree with this just because I don't like the way it looks when jeans get too "loopy," for lack of a better word. Any time I see more than five, I'm always like "why did they do that?" What can I say — I'm a minimalist 😉

This may be one of those waist size dependent things.  Could very well be off base on this, but my theory is larger waist size = more loops.  Another theory is lack of “booty” i.e. flat butt = more belt loops.

See I find I need more loops because of the booty. It pulls down the back rise of my pants much faster cause of the friction. Always end up with the jeans getting pulled down below the belt and weird bunching in the back.

We definitely used to put more loops in the 42 and 44 IH-634S, I am not sure if that carried over to other models/cuts when we went large all over the place.

                                      Hook Closure on the Chino:
The actual hook only goes through the inner white fabric of the waistband, creating a stupid look pulling it to the outside when under tension.
Hidden behind the belt, it's not really noticeable, though. The rest of the Chino doesn't feel like I should have sized up.
I think it would be better if there was an additional layer of the chino cloth on the inside of the waistband through which the hook is also is attached.

777 , 555s are 8.5” or more for size 38. Obviously the entire jeans size appropriately to accommodate 8.7 or 8.8” hems. 8.8 or 9” doesn’t go well with today fashion .

I think pure blue Japan sort out sizing for “slim tapered fit” beautifully.
