      How do the thighs feel?

21oz. Denim will easily stretch over 1” in the waist, especially if put under any stress (aka being a little too tight). I think they look fine as is, not too baggy, but I expect you’ll be happier with a 36. These will stretch out a little more and might end up feeling too big.

The other option is asking IHUK if they might have a size 36 that's bigger,or a size 38 that's smaller.

The thighs actually feel snug but the waist is lose. For all my clothes I tend to order bigger waist so the thighs would fit, after years of squats in the gym this is normal for me. Only thing has me concerned is how much will it stretch. If it's 1 inch, Id stay with 38. If it's more like 2, I think I may need to get a 36.

I have, but all sold out unfortunately with the sale. If the waist expansion is 1 inch or so i'll probably just keep these.

I may go to Self Edge to see if they have any 36 in stock and try them on for comparison. To be honest, I am happy with the current size. The stretching is what has me concerned.

21oz has been known to stretch more than 1” when it has to. If the thighs already feel tight, I say go for it. Worst that happens they will be the most comfy pair of Baggy pants you’ve ever had!

One possible good thing is that you won't have to worry about shrinkage, and can wash and dry any way you want,as they'll stretch back out again.

Thanks for all your responses really appreciate it! I'll go to Self Edge store to see if they 36 for comparison, if not I'll just hem and keep the 38.

Hi everyone, this is my first post and my first pair of Iron Hearts. I was hoping someone could tell me if the circled area in my pic is a flaw or just a weaving inconsistency?

@MrSmith it certainly doesn’t look like a flaw. The weft/warp pattern is consistent and there doesn’t seem to be anything torn, frayed or out of place.

It may be a product of the weaving process, but given the proximity to the hem and the fact that it looks parallel to the hem, I believe it may be a result of the hammering that the leg opening takes prior to chainstitching. This would be entirely normal. Alternatively, if you have cuffed the jeans that would also create such an effect.

Have they been hemmed, and if so, who by? Also, is anything visible on the face of the fabric?

@neph93 I have them cuffed, a decent double cuff (or a big cuff and then another cuff over that, I'm not sure what that is called), so the spot is actually about 6" up the leg.  I haven't worn them yet so it is definitely not from wear.  Also, they have not been hemmed, they are the original length.  There is nothing visible on the face which is why I wasn't sure what this was.

I actually may return these as I was on the fence with this pair anyway (I have other pairs in similar weights).  I was going to go with a pair of XHS during the sale…but I waited too long debating.

Classic case of the simplest answer being the right one.

Hello all.  I won a almost new pair of 634S-21 on ebay.  Size is 33 and they have been hemmed to 31".  I typically wear jeans stretched to 34" and a 30" inseam works best.  I wore them all day yesterday and the waist was a bit painful but I feel like they did stretch some.  I soaked them last night and then stretched them over a 17" hanger - it was very thick plastic but by this morning it seemed slightly warped so I think the jeans are winning.  I like jeans a bit loose but these are maybe too baggy in the thighs so the 666 may be a better option for me?  The thickness and stiffness of the denim is extreme - I'm having a tough time imagining these ever getting broken in.  They seem to be an incredibly high quality product but gonna take a lot of effort to get them to be the favorite pair.
