I have this question, but first let me tell ya how I started my IH adventure. My first pair was 666 19oz lefty denim V2 jeans tag 36. This was the only size i could fit my tights in. I have been wearing these jeans since Nov 24th non stop and I love the electric blue fades that started to appear. I decided to buy two more pairs and decided on 666 21oz indigo tag 34 and 777 21oz OD tag 35 jeans. Both pairs fit and feel great. I cant believe how soft the 666 21oz indigo denim is. Back to my question, my 666 19oz lefties feel sturdiest and heaviest(literally) vs, 666S 21oz and 777 21oz OD pairs?? Not that I am complaining (love all 3 pairs), but out of my curiosity I thought that 19oz will be lighter than 21oz denim… I am just fascinated how these garments are made, and I would like to know the difference between different denim weights. My only problem is the rotation, since Id like to wear all three pairs every day, LoL.
        Thanks!

I'm not sure what your question is @Derada , if it is as simple as it appears then denim weight is what a square yard of loom-state denim weighs in ounces….

I think he’s trying to understand why he perceives the 19OZ to be heavier than the 21OZ,thinking that possibly something in the weaving process might account for the disparity.

If that is the case, maybe because the 19oz has a tighter weave than the 21oz, so it feels heavier…

It is the differences in the fabric playing tricks on you. Its texture and heft make the 19oz seem heavier, although it isn’t. The same thing happens with the 12oz wabash. You can’t believe it is the same weight as th 12oz shirting denim. It seems much heavier. Heavier in fact than the 14oz kersey and 13oz serge shirting fabrics.

As someone who has a couple 12oz shirts and just acquired a 12oz Wabash- can confirm of feels much heavier.

I recently bought a IHSH-198 and love the little red W on the pocket. I also noticed there is one on the IHSH-197, another badass touch to a shirt.

Question is- what other shirts, if any, share this attribute? It is my favorite detail on my pants and jackets and would love to see it happen more. Anyone else on here share this sentiment?

Thats exacly what I was trying to understand. Thanks for explanations. The 19oz feel heavier and sturdier than 21oz jeans. Must be the waving process.

Is 見習いボス"Boss's Apprentice" the highest rank you can achieve here? I noticed a few people have one more yellow square than me. But when I sort ranking it has me at the top so I guess it is not by post count? Edit: I guess 7 squares is the maximum and I have that. Idk if it changed since I checked?

Thought that maybe, something like this, would give the work shirt guys some button pimping options.Having said that I have no idea if this is in any way practical from a fit,and or cost perspective. Never hurts to ask.
