I’m looking for high quality slippers or house shoes, and I’m “meh” on most I’ve found. Brand in consideration are LL Bean, Birkenstock, UGG, and the like. Anyone have cool recommendations?
Side question, why the heck are most slippers moccasins?

I was on the same quest for years, then I found Glerups. Never looked for another house shoe since!

Thanks for the tip. That’s a name I came across yesterday but didn’t dig into.

I recently picked up a pair of these for around the house and they're great.

I've always liked the look of the Quoddy Dorm Boot and some of the Glerups offerings. However, as a big footed man I'm usually relegated to your aforementioned usual suspects.

Long story short : I got glue on my rough out wescos, tried to get it off but got stuck with some weird discoloration and an altered structure. Do you think this can be fixed or should I dub the whole leather to make it even again? Is there a tip on how to dub anywhere?
-
@Max Power No idea how to remove it but here is a guide how to dub your boots:

Cheers @beautiful_FrEaK.
Might just try it today

What type of detergent do folks use for washing IH Shirts?
Shop detergent is fine. I wash them how I’d wash any clothes, that is what they are after all.
The only exception is indigo shirts on their first wash. They still get a regular detergent, machine wash, but they get soaked first.

Unless you particularly want to dub them, I would leave it alone for a bit and wear them a lot. Regular wear will make the change less obvious. Also, have you used the steel bristles on a proper suede brush on it? That may get rid of dried particles and restore some of the structure.

Thanks @neph93
I guess that's worth a try -

I picked up a pair of the Giesswein wool tops.
They are very soft in terms of structure. I wouldn’t describe them as high end but are well made and certainly do the job. Appreciate may not be to your taste but Would certainly get another pair when these die as they are very comfortable and regulate the temperature of my feet well.

a lot of great options here. i'll dig into them all, with Glerups being the front runner so far.
Thanks everyone.

Big fan of wool socks. As a matter of fact its all ive worn for probably 20 years. Dress, sport, and boot. Was surfing the interwebs for a shirt and well, ordered my first wool shirt. Pendleton. 2x. Measurements “looked” ok so hoping it fits well. Excited to receive my 2nd major shirt. First being the Ciano Farmer custom selvedge.
