It's pretty nice, but the light(er) weight denim and white stitching could turn off some… Personally, I find that style of chest pocket (right side) completely un-useable, but I realize it's authentic.
Random thought: that chest pocket looks like it was meant to accomodate a pocketwatch, perhaps with the chain end affixed to the buttonhole across from it. Usually IH seems to skip things like that that don't apply broadly in the modern world.

IHJ-61 Work Jacket in some duck variant; brown, black, navy, olive. Blanket lined. Add: external zippered horizontal left chest pocket w/ red lining - make it wide and deep enough to be useful for something other than a match book; 2 internal zippered vertical chest pockets, or just 1 on right side so as to not interfere with external pocket. Delete: waist band tab & button, as it's completely superfluous. Keep: corduroy collar; double zipper; button cuffs.

Wore my IH-624S-GR yesterday, and can't help but ask if there is ANY chance to see this gorgeous denim make a comeback at all? Or, maybe there's a small stash hidden somewhere?
There are new cuts that this non-traditional color would look GREAT in… 888, definitely... and also the 555 or 777 as well.

Just something I could put over a UHF and under my 526L. Just for that extra, non bulky layer when it's extra crisp and cool out.
Has this ever been considered?

There was a primaloft vest one or two years in a row. It was really lovely. It was. More traditional vest, but same material from what I would guess.

Agreed. I love vests - wish I could own them all - but my weather is either: Tee shirt weather or UHF under an N1 weather, so I rarely get to wear them.
Otherwise I would have snagged the primaloft one as it was lovely

I’m similar. I rarely do big bulky jackets as I tend to overheat. But on some days I just want that extra layer of warmth.

The things i'd change would be make it shorter in length, and remove the chest pockets and give it two front slash pockets like the IHJ-38 Primaloft Riders jacket. I have a cheap Orvis quilted vest that I wear the sh*t out of, but it's cheap. I like the idea of an IH version suited for Fall/Spring layering.

The things i'd change would be make it shorter in length, and remove the chest pockets and give it two front slash pockets like the IHJ-38 Primaloft Riders jacket.
