While researching during my brief stint as an Amazon seller, I found that there are US banks that allow foreigners to open accounts without being physically present… I never delved too deep in to it, because I obviously have a US bank account, but it was interesting to see that it's possible for foreigners to do.

        @Giles:

I need to set up a bank account in US.  I have a company and an EIN and all that.  I know that I will physically have to visit to actually open the account.  Does anyone know anyone at a bank that would be able to help me?  I wnt to fly in with all the paperwork and data I need, get it sorted and fly back out again.  Location is not particularly important.

We have a good contact at Chase in Denver who Brandi just used to set up a business. Happy to connect you.

        Think it, be it.

Thanks @Appfaff for your help with setting up a USA bank account.  I think I have it sorted.  Thanks also @mclaincausey for your offer of help too.

Bank account 100% sorted and we are able to deposit, just got to make sure we can withdraw 😃 😃

Next on the list is sorting out credit card processing, not having social security numbers is causing Braintree (who do our UK based credit card processing) to scratch their heads

                          And in any other news.

Ignition will now be a Kens Factory brand.  It will not be labelled Iron Heart.  It is likely to go a bit more hard-core bikery.

Haraki and IHUK will work on a new sub-brand called Iron Heart Racing which is likely to include some Hot Rod styled clothing plus some other interesting bits and pieces…..

My soon to be former employer is TransUnion. They are one of 3 Nationwide credit reporting agencies. They just bought one of the same for the UK, CallCredit. Perhaps there's something they can do to help.

We are making progress with setting up the 2 site Iron Heart online shop.

If we recognise a person is coming into the web-site form USA we will direct them to www.ironheartamerica.com, otherwise, they will be directed to www.ironheart.co.uk.  Customers will be able to override the auto choice.  But we really want US customers to buy from the US site (same people, same prices, same product, better checkout experience), the override is really there for if our auto-choice gets fooled because you are using a VPN or the like.

www.ironheartamerica.com will have tailored FAQ's and a US-based credit card processor.  Shipments will still come from the UK, but as our current shipping to the US from the UK takes no longer than 3 working days and the threshold for import duties in USD800, we see no issues there (larger shipments will be broken into sub USD800 parcels)

We are trying to work out what a sensible return shipping rate to us should be.  What approx prices do you have to pay to return a shipment to the sender who is based in the US?

We're thinking of offering return shipping for various weights:

                                    <1lb
                                    1-2lb
                                    2-4lb
                                    4-6lb

                                    6lb

So everything that is available on the IHUK site will be available on the IHUS site?

When a new product goes live on the IHUK site it will simultaneously go live on the IHUS site?

Will this confuse matters at all when a popular product goes live and there is a bun-fight?

Both sites use exactly the same "shop", what that means is that it makes no difference which site you are on as regards what is in stock and what is not….

Anyway, that is not the question I asked  😉 😉 😉

Oh yeah…you wanted an answer  😉

I just shipped a pair of chinos back to a US vendor and it was about 8 dollars.  I guess it will depend on weight and how far it's being shipped but I would say it's in the 7-15 dollar range?  That's using USPS.
