My in-laws are insane. They're discussing whether they should drive from Houston back to Las Vegas instead of flying. Why are they considering a 1,500 mile drive, you ask? So he can take his guitar back with him, and it's too expensive to check an extra piece of luggage…

but why not. that's the question!! i'd pick driving over flying anytime for that distance. it's so much more fun!! i recently did 1400km in a day. and roughly 3500km in total spanning 5 days

My Dad almost died last week. This time last week I was basically saying my goodbyes.

On Friday he went into a hospice (a truly amazing place with some incredibly hard working people).

Went to see him this evening and he has made such a remarkable recovery that he is going to be going home!

Nice to see him on good form but incredibly fucking bewildering considering we were told he had days to live!

Thanks mate. He is still soldiering on and seems to be in pretty good spirts. Coming back out of the hospice next week…..
