I just used the canvas and water scrub on the upper and outsole that VEB shared on this forum and then oiled the soles of these boots that have kicked a lot of shit (or snow) this winter. That technique is awesome, they look almost new. Oiled the soles too.

Very nice, I've been eyeballing several pairs of vintage engineer boots on the bay. I'm not ready to make a big $ commitment to engineer boots yet as I'm still not sure how I feel about them.

The good news Mega is you can start with Chippewa or similar without a big outlay to see how you feel about them. Chippewa to me are a great bargain, I'm sure there are others as well.

I love cowboy boots, but my favorite slip on and go boot is the engineer. Perfect winter boots. Feckin around with laces is great in seasons where you don't have to get all Japanese with your footwear (removing it indoors).
They look so damn cool.

In other news, and D has said the same, I'm really enjoying the lace to toe boots I've been seeing here.

^those particular Chips aren't my style, but considering Brian HAND
STITCHES his lasts and soles he gets my vote for Badass of the day! Thanks moonshine! I bet you know the time it takes to hand stitch.
This customer wanted to me to, relast on the 0-200 Last, tighten the shaft of the boots, replace straps and buckles, and resole them with Dr. Sole Raw Cord Full Sole.
I installed the Classic Role Club Wing Straps that will be seen in my upcoming Role Club engineer boot release.

so when you say tighten the shaft on the boot; how the heck you do that?
great work, davito is the 1st person that mentioned your work to me & all the images of your exploits look great.
you just mentioned a boot you are doing? more details please
