I just used the canvas and water scrub on the upper and outsole that VEB shared on this forum and then oiled the soles of these boots that have kicked a lot of shit (or snow) this winter. That technique is awesome, they look almost new. Oiled the soles too.

          Think it, be it.

Very nice, I've been eyeballing several pairs of vintage engineer boots on the bay. I'm not ready to make a big $ commitment to engineer boots yet as I'm still not sure how I feel about them.

The good news Mega is you can start with Chippewa or similar without a big outlay to see how you feel about them. Chippewa to me are a great bargain, I'm sure there are others as well.

Gav, Engineer Boots are the ultimate chilling out boots. They even feel more relaxed than other boots, which takes a little getting used to. I've had my Engineers for about 3 years now and they're still my favorite boots.

I love cowboy boots, but my favorite slip on and go boot is the engineer. Perfect winter boots. Feckin around with laces is great in seasons where you don't have to get all Japanese with your footwear (removing it indoors).

                    They look so damn cool.

In other news, and D has said the same, I'm really enjoying the lace to toe boots I've been seeing here.

This customer wanted to me to, relast on the 0-200 Last, tighten the shaft of the boots, replace straps and buckles, and resole them with Dr. Sole Raw Cord Full Sole.

                              After:

I installed the Classic Role Club Wing Straps that will be seen in my upcoming Role Club engineer boot release.

I took the boot apart and cut off part of the shaft. Then I sewed the whole boot back together.

I am in the waiting process for the Horween horsehide. I don't have a specific release date. The engineer boots will come in chromexcel horsehide or Steerhide. I found a source of quality brass roller buckles that are coming in from Japan. The boots will be handmade by me from start to finish. So each boot will be made to order.
