Product Returns to IHUK
-
Unfortunately sometimes you guys have to return an item to us, we understand that especially Internationally this is more complicated and expensive than any of us would like.
Historically, we got really good rates from UPS for outbound shipping, but not nearly as attractive for inbound. We have spent the last 3 weeks twisting their arms, and now we have price parity for both inbound and outbound.
We are in the process of integrating a "returns" facility into the web shop. This will allow you to pay our negotiated rates, create labels etc etc., all very simply.
We think it will take a couple of weeks till go live, but we are super-excited, we think that it will make your life easier and cost you less.

I think this will be great for example, I pester (get caught trawling the ih site) my wife about getting some IH jeans, she says buzz off nerd, I say "but honey they are so nice", whine, "please, etc, share my hobby, they can work for wimmins I promise, some bloke on here has a woman with a great ass and she has a pair, c'mon," she glances down at me ruefully and then walks off. Ah ha. But now I order her a pair, nicely wrapped waiting on her bed (I sleep facing the wall) I convince her to try them on, and then she says tighter! Too which I can return them and say "tighter dammit!" When the sufficient pair has been sourced and authorized by her ladyship I can then send them back for hemming. Well that's how I see this it working for me now anyway. Otherwise its totally irrelevant to me as I know my size perfectly and of no interest at all, moving on.

More info nicked from the UPS website…
How It Works
A customer simply visits your website and submits a return request based on your company's return policies. A return label is provided by their browser, by e-mail or both. Your customer prints and affixes the label to their package. He or she can then drop it off at a UPS location, hand it to a UPS driver, or request a collection. -
This is huge. I'm definitely more willing to take a chance on something knowing that returns won't cost a small fortune.

fingers crossed this is up and running before the Fall/Winter 2014 drops . . .

We are working on this, but to make it super user friendly, we want the implementation to auto populate a commercial invoice with info from the original shipped order. Like what the item is, what the declared value is and what waybill number the item was originally shipped out with (therefore ensuring that I dont get stung for import taxes).
We think that we will implement a solution that will be a fixed price (per UPS zone).
You will pay us for the return and I will get billed by UPS in the next billing cycle….
