really nice.  just stumbled on this thread.

nice to hear devil's are doing well.  seems like would be a great summer jean if the weave breathes.  i always laugh when folks talk about the 18 being light cause to me they breath less than the 21.  in any event, hope these make it out the gate

It's actually selvage both sides, but where it angles in at the bottom, we have to overstitch…..

They definitely will.  I think in about 8-10 weeks.  Just have to tweak the sizing with Haraki next week and we will be good to go.  Limited to about 100-115 pairs as that is all the denim we have…..

Looking forward to these. I have another brand's LHT and they're wicked. I guess I'm be stuck in something heavy for the next two summers, though.

I'd guess there isn't going to be a price until Giles meets up with Haraki and does some number crunching.  Nonetheless, I'm sure they'll be reassuringly expensive…

I was trying to build a case for the Mega Busters, but this presents a wrinkle in my finely crafted plans.  I can't enter the HWDC2 w/ these… but I already have 25oz.  The price point may have to decide for me as I will need to coerce manipulate convince my wife that I need new pants.

In broad brush strokes.  The pure cost of making a jean comprises 3 main things.

                                      1. Where it is made.  We weave the denim and make the jean in Japan - expensive.
                                      2. The quality and weight of the denim.  Let's assume we always takes highest quality we can get in terms of raw material, then the weight of the denim determines cost.  Heavier = more, lighter = less.
                                      3. The cost of production.  The heavier the denim, the harder it is to make (and that is effectively exponential)

Is an Iron Heart 14.5oz jean going to be less than an 18oz which is less than a 21oz, which is less than a 25oz  Most probably yes.

The one singular exception to this rule of thumb is the IH-634S.  We make and sell so many we can pile em high and sell em "cheap".
