Why do some people expect/want a reward for buying stuff? Isn’t a well-made item enough?

I wasn’t aware a loyalty scheme existed - my purchases are sometimes quite spaced out (sometimes by years), which is probably why. Also I’ve sometimes bought IH stuff from SE and R&H.

Controversial idea perhaps, but I’d consider going the other direction and adding a surcharge to purchases after an individual has reached a certain annual spend. IH then donates the surcharge to charity, and it doesn’t stop people buying things if they have the funds to support an indulgent clothing habit.

I reckon I’m finally grown-up enough to get a pair of 634S. Not sure how I’ve managed to avoid them for so long - guess I was just caught up in the 666 and 777 models.

Looking forward to a restock whenever it lands.

Release time is 1am in my corner of the universe. I’m not getting up in the middle of the night to order jeans, so I’ll see if I can snag a pair a few hours later at a locally sensible time. I don’t feel great about my chances, but either way I win - either I get a great pair of jeans, or I save $600 (yep, that’s the exchange rate for ya).

Blast from the past….would love to see this design return, or something similar. Missed it the first time.

Interesting how we all see things differently. I really like the patch design and the thinner material used on these.

(I actually find the thick IH patch a bit “too much”, although I realise this may be an unpopular opinion.)

It appeared to be unrelated to that, and was happening at random (as best i could tell).

I’ve now changed settings to 20 posts per page, so even if i get random scrolling oddities at least i will be in the same vicinity.

Maybe i’m just getting old….

A couple of things that would arouse me:

1. Lined (flannel/quilt?) duck Type III jacket.

2. Sashiko western shirts.

More seriously, I’ve found that top-loading washing machines have a higher tendency to marble jeans than front-loaders, due to them often bunching/twisting around the central ‘agitator’. If you have a top-loader, try pausing the wash cycle halfway through, and checking that the jeans haven’t become tangled up in some weird way that’s going to enhance localised friction during the agitation phase. Unwanted marbling makes Baby Jesus sad.

If it got passed to Couriers Please that would explain it - that mob are the absolute worst, by a massive margin. They have zero care factor.

I realise IHUK are in a tough position, trying to find a solution that works for everyone. I don’t envy the task, and I thank them for doing what they can.

Mixed feelings about my latest delivery.
I specifically requested Signature on Delivery, as I live in an apartment complex and packages do sometimes go missing if left unattended.
The package got from UK to Aus in reasonable time, so no complaints there.
However, the package was just dumped at the front door of the complex. I was busy at work and didn’t check tracking all day, so it’s lucky noone swiped it.
The UPS “proof of delivery” screen grab below shows that signature was required, but also that it was “Received by Inside door”.
I got lucky this time, but a bit frustrated at the lazy couriers.

That’s a nice pair of trousers. Bravo.
It seems like a natural fade, unlike some of the artificial looking high contrast fades that you see around.

Would love to see a limited re-run of jeans with the old Tripleworks patch. Probably a 634 cut, or maybe a BB.

I know the original TW series didn’t always sell that well, but i reckon enough time has passed that a small run would get snapped up - either by those of us nostalgic for the “early days”, or those looking for something different.
