ANDE-SJ - Andersen-Andersen - Skipper Jacket
Designed by Andersen-Andersen in Denmark, the “Skipper” jacket uses a 7-gauge pure wool knit to create a medium-to-heavy-weight sweater for colder seasons and climates. Knitted and linked in Italy, this versatile piece combines traditional cardigan styling with the fit of a flight jacket — complete with a buttoned placket with real horn buttons, practical handwarmer pockets, and ribbed hems that pull in at the waist and cuffs for a blouson appearance.
As for the wool itself, Andersen-Andersen’s signature yarn is made from mulesing-free, 100% pure new wool sourced from Corriedale sheep in Patagonia. The fibres are carefully cleansed and worsted to remove broken and short fibres before being given an extra spin to produce a denser, more durable yarn that is far less likely to pill. Once knitted, this creates a substantial garment with exceptional strength and durability, built to withstand years of wear.

Oh lord … I just discovered the future releases section on the web site. I seriously don’t know how I missed it.

Looks like a beautiful piece! I realize everyone’s wearing experience is different, but I wonder how itchy this type of wool wear say compared to Dehan or others,

@Brandrea I can’t compare them to Dehen, nut I have 3 pieces from AA and never had a problem.

Copped this in a L and now I am wondering if I should have gone w my typical XL (in Ironheart) since it is more a jacket. I also nabbed the quarter zip in L but will use that more as a shirt.
Any quick advice is appreciated!
-
@Anesthetist hey mate, Freddie is an Iron Heart large in pretty much all of the tops he has modelled in, and that is him in a large in this. I am a XXL in most Iron Heart shirts now, I would go with a XXL in this. I could wear XL, which was quite fitted, I liked the feeling of a XXL with more room - hope this helps

@AdamC thanks Adam, knitwear is tough!
I’ll send an email to the rest of the crew. I appreciate the response! -
@Anesthetist No probs mate, will tell them to look out for it

Scandinavian model pose

-
@Anesthetist I think you sized that perfectly. Those Baltimore tees were pretty long in the body, so that Skipper jacket is sitting perfect. Could you wear it over a button up too?
-
@Anesthetist did you end up with the XL then? Agree it looks like you sized it just right.
-
@pechelman I ended up doing a large after measuring my Dehen and Filson sweaters
@jordanscollected I will give it a shot today
