ANDE-SJ - Andersen-Andersen - Skipper Jacket
Designed by Andersen-Andersen in Denmark, the “Skipper” jacket uses a 7-gauge pure wool knit to create a medium-to-heavy-weight sweater for colder seasons and climates. Knitted and linked in Italy, this versatile piece combines traditional cardigan styling with the fit of a flight jacket — complete with a buttoned placket with real horn buttons, practical handwarmer pockets, and ribbed hems that pull in at the waist and cuffs for a blouson appearance.
As for the wool itself, Andersen-Andersen’s signature yarn is made from mulesing-free, 100% pure new wool sourced from Corriedale sheep in Patagonia. The fibres are carefully cleansed and worsted to remove broken and short fibres before being given an extra spin to produce a denser, more durable yarn that is far less likely to pill. Once knitted, this creates a substantial garment with exceptional strength and durability, built to withstand years of wear.
