So this arrived today. Feeling pretty lucky. I've tried to buy many items from Ship John with zero luck thus far. Just happened to catch the Ship John live stream where Mike announced they were selling this all black / dry wax version of the Wills. I believe this only 1 of 30 pieces. Sorry for the terrible pictures. Much better on their website obviously.

Never posted a fade pic. Not near the photog some of you gentlemen are. Been wearing these on and off for about a year and half rotating with some 888XHSIB

Little over a year of wear. Supposed to be Buck Brown, but almost positive they're Tan Oiled Latigo.

Looking forward to pairing it with the all black Wills I was lucky enough to snag last year. Starting to show a little breaking in in the elbows and the shoulders. As you can tell from the chair I put it on and my hat, it is not really a black but a dark grey. Probably darker than the battleship gray, but not a true black in my opinion.

Completely agree with @DeeDee85. I think the black W is going to look great. In fact, I was already considering trying to carefully sharpie it. This is a plus to me. Really hope the measurements work!

The 21oz sashiko used for the 397 but dyed SBG, gun metal buttons in a CPO.

In my opinion the 293 is wayyyy softer. I love both and have worn both extensively, but in my opinion they're almost complete opposites in terms of softness and drape.

@mecken88 I have one of the dry wax Wills and I have worn it quite a bit. I have also been to Ship John and tried on the real deal Wills and they are almost completely different jackets. I am not saying it wasn't comfortable, but definitely way different. I cannot speak to how well a traditional Wills breaks in and becomes more wearable, but the dry waxed version I have was wearable from day 1. I'm with you for sure though, the traditional Wills is definitely on my list if I'm lucky enough to get one.

@hgering27 I haven't. And I have been stalking this thread in the forum to make sure I don't miss it. If I do get one and no one else has posted about receiving theirs, I will be sure to come back and let everyone who is waiting know.

@Brock Agree with you. I didn't dry mine, but my washer has an extra hot setting. That made it shrink quite a bit without drying. It especially narrowed the arms a lot and brought the length up a quite a bit but not enough for my liking. @Blanco I also found them to be a bit long. I took both my indigo and black sashiko shirt to the tailor and had them shortened a bit. Just my two cents. I have pictures from much further up of before and after too if you care to see how just an extra hot wash worked. I took it out right before the spin cycle.

@FlavourFade I also use google pay and have had good luck with it. Have the indigo sashiko, the black sashiko and managed to snag the blacked out Wills to. Not gloating, just to inform you I have had luck with google pay. I'd keep an eye out for a while after they ship the pre-orders. Wouldn't be the first time they had "extra" that they just put on the web site. They did that with some Kristofferson's and the hickory striped western shirt. I am quite certain they did it with some indigo sashiko shirts as well.

@Cymro The IHSH-411 and 412-Blk are my favorite shirt fabric yet from Iron Heart. Especially in the sun. It's awesome to watch the transition as the sun hits the indigo. A little mesmerizing actually. Need to wash mine again soon.

@Davids_denim Thanks! Completely agree. Took a lot of pictures and these were the best, but still doesn't quite capture it correctly.

Just an FYI the link at the top and bottom of this page do not go this particular shirt. It is currently going to all of the shirts. Will the measurements be posted before going live?

Have you measured the latest run? Are the measurements at the top accurate? It has a date of October 2020 under the post.
