Got away with the L! More or less exactly the fit I had hoped for.
This is a glorious vest. Love the cut, love the colour, and the material is gorgeous. Lighter than I had anticipated and with a lovely hand. Surprisingly stretchy for a plain weave.

I imagine it will relax with time and use.It surely will!

@MarkNo that will not be true (as in irreversible) shrinkage. Yes, lubricating fibers, then drying them may result in them tightening a little, despite actual shrinkage having been removed. However that will loosen automatically through wear resulting in the same starting dims. No net shrinkage. There is literally nothing your washing machine can do that hasn't been done 100 times harder by the industrial processes the fabric has already been exposed to.
The vest looks great and that is the correct fit imho. Well done!

@Jaffy718 while I would do that with nearly every vest I own, I will not with this one. The number, size and placement of the buttons make it unnecessary. The height of the lowest button on the placket means the practicality of an opening is still there, and three large buttons mean it would be counter productive in terms of style.

The height of the p2p measurement is a sound point by @ARNC . The size of the armhole gave me pause too, but I held the course and went for an L instead of an XL. The shoulders are wider than a typical IH work vest, which may give me some slack, and the p2p is larger than a typical work vest too. I would also want this vest short and worn trim over a single layer. At the end of the day, the XL would have been so long that I would not have enjoyed it, and the chest likely too loose. The vest will be here after the weekend. If it turns out too tight in the chest I'll just have to turn it around and live with not owning one.

Quiet weekend with The Mad Red up here, lots of other things that are awesome and red have been a feature.
My marina sauce for some Chicken Parm

Wales winning a game, and looking good while going it.

Liverpool FC drawing, and looking shite while doing it, do not deserve a mention despite playing in the correct colour.
Who’s next @Aetas ?

Good night that. Shame there isn’t video capability on here yet. But a tidy 3-0 win in the first leg.

We’ll see how much live blogging i manage… I will be singing a lot. But here’s Bodø Glimts shitty little stadium one hour before kick off. Capacity about 8500.

So it’s the champions league round of 16 and I scored a ticket in the ultras section, literally from dodgy geezer down the pub.

This will likely be the last update because life. And I’m not even wearing the jacket. Because….

Been quiet this week, and will be next week due to a big practical exam. But I’m going to finish strong in my last week!

Another appropriate bottle label. The colour is tight, and «Tykjen» is a word for the Devil in Norwegian. A mad red mofo if ever there was one.
Cheers folks.

@goosehd I agree wholeheartedly, however the rest of the clientele are dressed typically Norwegian, (read boring).

2pm concert in a converted barn in the middle of a field… the beer menu is awesome too

Taking a train to a concert, and on my way through Bryne, which is a shitty little town with only one claim to fame, a certain E. B. Haaland comes from here. Her is a mural sensibly created back when he played for a proper football team.

Firewalls configured, switches switched, and the headless host running the show. Or it will be when I get it back to Bodø. Either way, work done.
So now it’s out in some nice weather. Stavanger is a looooong way south so it’s relatively warm and sunny which is nice. Earliest sunglasses weather for many years for my part.
MRMF looking pretty nice in the light..

And despite being in a very urban area, chickens…
