Not the bun fight I expected. Which is nice as I now have a pair on the way. Been a few years since my last pair of 21oz. I’m really rather happy.

@Ranman Victims of the supply chain problem, I imagine. When getting enough of the 21oz to make core cuts like the 634 is a problem, these are going to be a long way down the list. As far as I can remember, only 3-4 batches have ever been made.

@losendos100 how it’s always been. Sometimes you know it will happen. Other times it’s a surprise. When I was buying regularly the FOMO was such that if I wanted it I was sat hitting F5 at 15:59, regardless. Sometimes it was necessary, other times not.

Also can’t remember if I added the MOP snaps or it came with. I like my shirts a little shouty.

@tody a lot newer than that. 200 and something. It came up a slightly odd size and the sample had tonal stitching. Everyone else loved the sample so when it came with contrast there was a loss of interest. I was overjoyed.

That shirt I mentioned the other day. Sulphur dyed… chambray? Can’t remember. Love the red sleeve lining and contrast stitching.

@Steve Seemingly sold out? Doesn't make sense.
Sucks when that happens. But it does. Some things might not seem like they’ll fly out, then they do. Sorry it went like that this time. Other retailers will have it though.

@Eisenherz let’s go!!!
@Giles really is a work of art. I’d love the black one, but picked up the sulphur dyed one with contrast stitching from two or three years ago, which is also pretty great (and sadly sold poorly).

Old stuff. Both the subject and his clothes. And the pub toilets for that matter.

RE: IHV-03-BRN - 17oz Cotton Duck Work Vest - Brownposted in Vests
@MarkNo they are not cut much slimmer, at least in the p2p, which is usually the critical measurement with vests. The differences are due to the shape of the cut. The bigger arm holes mean the p2p on the work vests traverse the body a lot lower down, under the widest part of the chest.
My XL is comfortable on me, albeit a little more roomy than I’d like now, after recent weight loss. I would go for an L now, the same as my hunting vest. I strongly suspect that if you go with the same size as your hunting vest, you’d be good.

Got away with the L! More or less exactly the fit I had hoped for.
This is a glorious vest. Love the cut, love the colour, and the material is gorgeous. Lighter than I had anticipated and with a lovely hand. Surprisingly stretchy for a plain weave.

@MarkNo that will not be true (as in irreversible) shrinkage. Yes, lubricating fibers, then drying them may result in them tightening a little, despite actual shrinkage having been removed. However that will loosen automatically through wear resulting in the same starting dims. No net shrinkage. There is literally nothing your washing machine can do that hasn't been done 100 times harder by the industrial processes the fabric has already been exposed to.
The vest looks great and that is the correct fit imho. Well done!
