Tough call it is, the thing is the waist will like you say probably stretch back out, but thigh won't much, nor will knee imo...

I'm afraid a 33 will bring me close to unwearable on thigh and knee, while it will probably get near very good on the waist

If the pair you get has exactly the advertised measurements, then after you do the initial hot soak, they will be: (assuming the new batch has the same measurements as the current one)

Thigh: 12.6”
Knee: 8.0”
