Ok, I’m reporting back after a 40°C wash cycle and hang-drying: nothing really happened. The "most noticeable" changes occurred in the waist (which is understandable am thinking as I had tried them on) and the rear rise, which both differed by about 0.5 cm.
The remaining measurements are negligible, within just a few millimetres of change, so nothing worth mentioning.
It also comes down to how precisely I took the original measurements.
Now lets pray I don't eff-up the actual shortening...

Thanks both of you for replying superduper swift.
They are already in the machine now, at a 40C cycle. Couldn't wait..lol.
I will report back with measurements, for others knowledge and for potential future use.
Am not really worried as by experience, nothing really happens at 40 anyway, but thought I could just as well ask.
Cheers.@Slash
"Again be very careful ! Medium heat is not nothing and I did pull the item out of the dryer every 5 minutes from the 10th minute to measure it
Since I was in a public place (I don't own a dryer) I let you imagine how I did look..."
This made me giggle...

Edit; just saw @Giles reply to @Slash above...I'll go for 40C, should be all good.
@Alex
(or anyone else that feel they have the answer, please chip in)Hi there,
copped myself a pair of 721 Chinos a few days ago. Was lucky to stumble across (a long time missing) size 32 in your shop.
Before I will take them up, I will give them a machine wash.
The care label says "40 C wash" and your Care Guidelines on the product page it states:
"We recommend washing this garment at 30°C** with a low (or no) spin cycle."I assume it would be safe to wash them at 40°C, but would you advise otherwise? They will be washed numerous times over time due to their colour (beige/khaki). And cotton does shrink over time, so just as well get most of the shrinkage out already now...?
Cheers!
Thanks for the chocolate by the way! Much appreciated.

@jdwaid
Goldie is one of the pioneers so a “living legend” really.
It was a live performance with two drummers with Goldie running around the stage.
A very ambient soundscape with lots of jungle-ish ingredients. It was an afternoon gig, set out doors on the hill of Alexandra Palace with the London skyline as a backdrop. It was great!

Hey, just found this thread just now. I love DnB. Though mostly things techno and house. But always appreciated a good DnB banger. Went to see Goldie at Alexandra Palace a few weeks back. He hadlined the festival together with Faithless. Was an awesome open air daytime feast.

RE: IHSH-187-KHA - Khaki Cotton Ripstop CPO Shirtposted in Shirting
@Appfaff Hey mate,
this shirt is awesome and something I regret not buying when it was around. Have found it online/second hand and sternly considering buying it.
However it is a size up (L) from what I normally goes for in ALL my Iron Heart shirts (M).
My question is; have you seen much shrinkage in the one you bought? Am guessing, now since it is a 8 year old thread, and you being in here 3 years ago, by this time your shirt must have settled shrink wise...
have you seen anything going on with the specs and the measurements?
All best! -

Them two shirts (moc and brn) are the same colour, I wanted to find out, so reached out to Iron Heart UKHQ and answer given found as below:
”They are the same colour, we just had to update the name sku for the last run.”

@d-s3 But which one is labelled wrong? If I had to guess I‘d say I‘m looking at two MOC here…

RE: IHE-36 - Small Shoulder Bag - 12oz Wabash - Indigo or Blackposted in Cut & Sewn
Just bought this bag. Looks great and will come well in handy for smaller gear such as sunglasses, keys, tobacco, perhaps a (water) bottle and various bric-a-brac, knick-knacks and such. Does it look like a womens bag? Perhaps, but it’s all about guts and courage on how to pull it off. I’ll double it up with a wabash western just cause I think it will look the business.

@DrPat hi there,
this is helpful, thanks for posting it!
What size is the shirt bearing these measurements?
I tried to compare in the size chart.
Is it an XL? Or L? -

RE: IHSH-62-IND - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
I appreciate neph93 ! I’m still on the fence about the one I found. I may just wait for the restock, whenever that maybe. I feel like a L or XL would fit me best, but the one I found is an XXL [emoji28]
I’d say wait for restock. To try to play the shrinking game in order to come down 1-2 sizes are to much to hope for I reckon. Sign up to be notified when the relevant size of shirt is back in stock again. In meanwhile sit back and wait. Think that is the best and safest way to go tbh.

RE: IHSH-62-IND - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
Thanks for posting that @Adero . I’ve been contemplating buying a used one (all I can find, atm), that’s a size too big. So, this helped put shrinkage into perspective. US machines do not have a temp setting like yours; is 60 degrees Celsius hot?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Machines over here have settings as standard in general of and from 30 (cold/delicate), 40 (standard ev
eryday washing such as for cotton) 60 ( for cotton such as underwear and bed linen etc. ) and 90 ( bed linen). 90 being close to boiling point of 100 to give you an idea. Human normal body temperature is 37….
Most clothing companies advise for 30 or 40 degree washing cycles.
Don’t know what “hot” on an American machine would translate to I am afraid.
But hope the above helps a bit.

RE: IHSH-62-IND - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
For info, for those of you finding it interesting and useful.
Did a 60 degrees celsius wash using a front loader machine.
No soaks or washes have been done previously.Found it a tad too large and too long before, so therefor I did not make use/wear it (the shirt) as much as I would have like to.
Am pleased with the result now after washing. Sleeves good, so is front and back.
Perhaps chest a bit too snug, especially as I like wearing a heavy sweater underneath, but still works and am sure it will stretch back out again. So no worries.
