I’ve been doing this for a while. The market place here is a bit fickle so putting stuff out to a wider audience helps a lot. I also like not having to fuck with shipping. It’s especially nice for international shipping, much cheaper than doing it yourself and you don’t have to mess with the customs forms.

@Matt AH...I thought this was a new policy. I've never sold anything on Ebay...usually I use Grailed if I can't move something here. Grailed is like 13-15% of sales price in fees!!

The wife’s just done a big wardrobe clean out this week, now have 5 choc a block bin liners of stuff to go to the good will, and I get an extra rail in the wardrobe

I don't sell much on eBay, but I probably buy something every other month or so. I usually list and sell clothes on Grailed (fee$) or Poshmark (fee$$$$$) but may step to ebay and try and move a few things. I think I've only ever sold IH items on this forum, always forget about trying to sell IH adjacent items and usually list those on other sites.

I just sold some jackets on eBay. Listing was FREE, but they still took their pound of flesh from my earnings.

@dwaynelum That's how I understood it as well. Upwards of 15%, depending on the item.

@dwaynelum ah. Ok well that’s some BS then haha. It’s free to list on Grailed too. But they take 12-15% of the sale in fees.

@Mizmazzle I look at it as paying for the access to so many eyeballs. I usually sell things pretty quickly on eBay, but at what cost?! 12-15%!

@Giles I got around to ordering a noise maker that has a bird song feature similar to the one you have in your loo. It also has wave sounds which are great for my bedside to sleep to.

November 2018, so far my only visit to IHHQ. That was such a good day meeting everybody there. Even got to meet Paula!
Hope to make it back there during 2025. Too bad Acorn brewery is no more…
