@Conan Glad to hear this one worked out for you. I'll be interested to see some real life photos from people who purchased this model. I'm still on the fence, but realistically am thinking this may not work out for me.

Just got mine today. Loving it. Way darker in person than the photos, it looks almost black.
I was nervous about the smaller than typical chest measurement for an XL but the guys found me a slightly bigger one.

@Phil_NYC Looks really good on you!! I’m guessing the dark indigo will lighten up fairly quickly (depending on how much you wear it), and produce some vibrant fades.
Seeing your pics is giving me serious FOMO for this model…

I'm hoping to find a place to try these on in person, but Franklin and Poe hasn't listed anything new from ironheart back in a while, so wondering if they will get these. I guess I should try emailing them. For some reason Iron shop provisions has completely different measurements for this model.

Mine arrived yesterday. Seeing the 14oz thickness, I plan to wear it on warmer days. So I chose it tighter on the body so that only a t-shirt can fit. Good day everyone.

Will an IB jacket bleed onto tshirts etc?
I just got a new 14 oz. indigo black modified Type 3.
I couldn't be happier, I absolutely love it. Fantastic fabric, great fit.
I was registered for updates for the last six months and bought it the first day that the restock came out!
But now I have a question. Given that the inside is black not white, will the way that the fabric is treated mean that the black color could rub off onto for example light-colored T-shirts or tops?
Or is that unlikely to happen? I'm going to avoid wearing white shirts and t-shirts but it would be good to know how concerned I should be about bleed from the inside.
Thanks for any advice and I highly recommend this jacket to anyone who's been thinking of it!

I am surprised how little mine is bleeding / crocking on either side. My hands were practically blue after every time I touched my lefty type 3.

Hello, I ordered my frirst ever Denim Jacket - any honestly I'm super happy with this decision.
I ordered in the first min after the restock, based on the new messurments chart, I had to go with XXXL, but I sent an email to the team to find me a one with shorter sleeves and less width in shoulders. and here we go, 2 days after the order... Knock, knock...
After the test fit, I soak it in hot water for an hour, agitating it every 15 minutes to ensure the shrinkage is completely out. Before it got completely dry with the drip dry, I wore it 50% wet for a day and a half. Then I repeated the soak again. Here's how it looks now.
I don't know how does it look along with the IH 142ib - happy to hear from you.
I can't wait to see how it will fade..
and not sure how I will be able to able to wear this jacket in the hot/warm weather here in Dubai !! -

So the jacket arrived, and it fits great!! The sleeves are a little long when I’m standing straight up, but I expect them to shrink a bit once the creases set in. That same extra length is totally welcome when I’m driving, as the sleeves don’t creep up my forearm, but rather hit my wrists just about perfectly.
The color of this jacket is amazing. There’s an almost “wet” look to it, and the underlying ultraviolet colors that come out when the light hits it just right, lends credence to what a friend of mine told me about this model long ago: the Atari fades you can get if you stick with it are absolutely insane.

I had been eyeing this one for about a year and was finally able to grab one from the restock in January '26. The team was quick to answer sizing questions and after ordering on a Saturday afternoon, had the jacket in hand (in Oregon USA) that Thursday! Thought I would share some sizing, fit, and quality details about this one for my first post in this forum.
For reference, I'm 5'11, 180lbs, 33' waist, 41.5' chest, broader shoulders, and athletic build. My favorite fitting denim jacket literally fell right in between the L and XL on this one. Since I will wear with longsleeve Tshirts, button ups, and thicker knits now and again went with the XL.
First, pictures do the color(s) of this piece no justice! This is the most powerful colored garment I've ever seen. In brighter light it projects a deep rich navy, but in flat light its almost obsidian or ink black. After just a few days buttoning up and normal wear I started to get indigo bleed on my fingers and the fabric quickly modeled to my shape and started setting creases, so I know this thing is going to fade insanely!
As for the fit, the XL is cut perfect for me. There is room all around for it to feel tailored with just a Tshirt on, but still just enough room to have a comfortable fit and nonrestrictive movement over a flannel. I can comfortably wear it over a thick hoodie as well, it just feels a little more slim fully buttoned up.
I look forward to wearing this thing everyday and am once again incredibly impressed with Iron Heart quality and craftsmanship!
