No I don't think. It's just how I have been wearing them. I put a ton of starch in them and wore them a lot. I only soaked them about twenty minutes because of my sick cat.

@Filthy I've always wondered if you use liquid starch or spray starch (can).  Used spray starch when I was in the military, but haven’t t used any since.

Recommendation.  What do you use, how often, any tips or tricks?

You can use both. Whatever is easiest. My recipe is 8 oz water to a boil. 1/3 cup of corn starch, half a teaspoon citric acid or lemon juice as a preservative. Bring water and starch to a boil, stir vigorously until thickened, then add the mix to a spray bottle. You can strain it if there's lumps but there should not be. I don't use this on the outside of the jeans because it leaves white marks.
