IH-777S-142ib - 14oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo/Black

I’m considering these, and I think the picture in this thread is great. However Filthy has posted pictures here https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=104.msg659776#msg659776 (page 186) of a pair of XHS ib, which seem to have faded differently.

I think Giles’s look like the fabric has changed color, whereas Filthys look like there is a layer of dark color on top, which has been worn off in places.

Will these fade more like the 19 oz ones, or could it go either way?

Also how does the fabric compare to 21 oz indigo? I’ve tried a lighter pair than 21 oz, but they felt more stiff (I think it was 14 oz, but I cod be mistaken).

Thinking this is my next pair…I’ve always worn the 666 fit but would like it slightly more tapered in the lower leg but curious as to if anyone has experience with getting this over the shaft of a cowboy boot? Will it sit ok or be too tight on the shaft

Probably about the same/maybe a little less, but certainly not as quickly.

Any suggestions on sizing given the anticipated 1” waist stretch? Do people size down an 1” from their normal size and struggle for a bit, or go TTS off the bat and have a little room later to dink beer and eat pasta? Thanks!

@sweetlou generally we advise people to go an inch down in anticipation of the stretch so you have the better fit in the long term - but I think everyone's milage will vary with that

How stretchy in the waist is this denim compared to the 17oz N? I get 1.5-1.65" of stretch from new to "maxed out" on the waist of my 777Ns. I wear my jeans pretty tight around the waist.

@JES600 bit hard to give an exact amount as it will very from person to person and how snug they are to start with however approximately you should get around 1 inch of stretch with wear, you may get a little more if you do wear them abit snugger then usual.
