Man, pics don’t do it justice.  I looked at this shirt a LOT before finally pulling the trigger and it still had me floored when I got to see it irl!

I machine washed my 216 (the brown one) warm, on a low agitation cycle, with spin, and tumble dried it on low heat. No appreciable shrinkage.

I did get two identical creases set into the sleeves going up from where they doubled over to be sewn into the cuffs. This may be from the spin cycle, and then they were cemented by the dryer. I can’t be bothered to iron, but I imagine the creases could be smoothed out.

Long story short, maybe don’t machine wash if you’re picky!

Definitely going to hand wash mine in Woolite when the time comes.

I’ve worn and washed mine several times.  The last time I washed it on the synthetic cycle instead of the hand wash cycle because it was starting to stink.  I never spun it regardless of the washing cycle.

You can see from the pics that distressing happens.  The diagonal line across the right pocket appeared after the last wash.  I’m not sure if it’s a soap stain or a crease because it’s an odd place to have a crease and it stops abruptly.  Since the virus arrived I’ve barely worn the shirt so I also can say if the white mark will disappear with time.

Note that the distressing is exaggerated in the pics.  In real life it’s not as noticeable.

My advice would be to wash it on the hand or gentle cycle and definitely don’t spin it.

Does anyone remember the weight of this one?  I didn't see it in this thread.  I was just wondering how it compared to the current edition.

Regardless of the weight, this one is much more fuzzy.  It almost feels like a peach.
