These were popping in the fluorescent garage lights, figured I’d share

I am currently a 37” waist. Would I be better off grabbing the size 36 (waist measures 35.2) and hope I can get some good stretch or should I grab size 38 (waist measures 37.7). Understand these are twisted weft so I’m not sure how that affects stretch potential.
-
@pjroo33 maybe try emailing them directly, they really are very responsive, helpful and friendly.
Personally that would be too much for me to go for. I try and get as close to my exact waist measurement if not a little more over and even then it feels somewhat restrictive and requires breaking in. It’s all great walking around and or standing but then I jump in the car or sit on a bench to watch my daughter play basketball and I realise that they still need a bit more to go.
I’m loving the 14oz jeans though. Just recieved my 4th pair recently and I’m a big fan, especially now Summer is on its way. -

I’m a 37” waist and I got these in a 36 hoping it would stretch a bit. It’s super tight at first in the waist, everywhere else is great. They don’t seem to stretch too much, so either I slim down or size up. Although I do go with the 38 in the 666 and 555s as in those cuts the 36 is too small all around.
It’s weird though because I do have some older Iron Hearts in a 888OD and 305s? where the 36 fits great.
Just realized I’m no help lol.

Man I really love these jeans. I struggled with a few different pairs of the 888 cut in different weights size 30 that ultimately got a little too tight even with just occasional cold wash/hang dry and no body changes on my part. Sized up to a 31 in this and they feel great. Room to tuck in a t shirt but not baggy at all. Did the same with the 18oz and just ordered the 17oz natural indigo.
And I think my days of struggling to wear heavyweight denim in my warm/hot climate are done. 14/17/18 max. Even the 14oz is tough as nails compared to other brands.

Hey guys, i am wearing size 30 in 777s-142, should i go with the same size on these 888s-142? i am kinda lost. I cant refer to sizing chart since i actually never had any relax taper before.
-
@grumpyB make sure the waist and thigh measurements are good and let the rest just be what they are. Those two measurements are what matters most. If you can fit in a 777 though I’m assuming you don’t have huge thighs so if that’s the case just go with your comfortable waist measurement.
-
@grumpyB I'd also add that the waist sits a bit higher on the hips than the 777, so your measurement might be different there. For the 888 waist, I run the tape right around the outside of the waistband of my undies. For me thats 34" exactly, so i try to get a pair of 888 with a waist around 33.5", then they stretch to about 35" and feel perfect.
-
@WhiskeySandwich Thank you for this, I was wondering about this exact thing!
-
@Evertonman I have 7 pairs of 888 and came to this technique after first going a bit too small. My smaller pairs do still fit but I find that the smaller the waist is, the higher up they tend to ride. It works for a slimmer fit overall,as long as they’re not restrictive.
