@Denimhead-0 what size you going for compared to IH? 36 waist looks good but thigh maybe little snug, 38 waist too big and thighs still not much more room haha

That’s my problem with his pants/denim the thigh is usually too small when the waist(36) is just right. I’m going to try to pick up a 38 as a 13” thigh is the bare minimum that I can do.

@northsouthdenimguy yeah that's my problem too, have to take some more measurements to check if I have to get a 38 too. Will you order a hemmed one?

I was dead set on these Guthries but looking at the size chart I have to pass. The ratio of tag size/waist to seat/thigh is bonkers. Super slim cut for sure, which makes no sense to me for what is supposed to be a bombproof pair of work pants.
Working folks generally run pretty large, at least the guys I know big buns and thick thighs

Also, no rivets and a button fly. I understand that Mike doesn’t like rivets but these pants look a little off to me with no visible hardware at all, and a button fly pair of work pants with a seat this narrow feels like an accident waiting to happen. Just a personal take.

@northsouthdenimguy i haven’t bought one, so im not waiting for it. But just wanted to share that from my experience Mike unfortunately doesn’t give out general updates along the way.

It’s mostly answers that’s very short and no information. So he usually doesn’t say anything until it’s actual go time.

But I hope you’ll get something soon, I know you all been waiting long and it’s over due on when it was supposed to be finished.

But I guess it will be well worth it!🥰

i’m stoked about the release of the guthries but sorta on the fence at the same time.

i’m not sure if they will feel like overkill outside of the winter here in chicago

i have pretty thin legs so the SJ cuts have always been perfect for me.

Yeah, ideally if I could get a size 40 with a 36 waist it would proportionately make sense. Hoping the 38 is good enough, if Im able to get one.

@rewseph yeah the overkill thing is something that concerns me too. I do wear my ducks at really high temps, so that makes me hope I'd get at least the same amount of wear out of the Guthries as I get from my xhs and 19L.

@northsouthdenimguy I emailed them yesterday about the update on the sashiko and literally just got a response. There was no date or anything. they said theyre moving, "albeit slowly" I know it will be worth the wait, I love my indigo one, I am just super eager to get this shirt finally. I just have a feeling it wont be this month...

@northsouthdenimguy Not sure if you got the newsletter last night but it basically just said they are still moving through production. It doesn’t seem like they are close and I’m sure they’ll be worth the wait but I'm just hoping to get it by the end of February.
