@Chibs I really like that metal version you have there. It’s an affordable statement piece
I wear my MTG-S1000D in rotation with a couple resin gshocks and this is by far my favorite. They have resin inserts in the metal band for comfort.
The newest MTGs are bananas expensive but some are really cool looking.

@jordanscollected nice!! I love G-Shocks. So cool and unpretentious! Got this one Monday and I’m absolutely smitten with it.

Last new watch for a good while! Hopefully.

Inspired to get my G-Shock back in service…

Might need a clean too! -
@Nocturama Nice!

Is that a play on the Tag H F1, @Matt?

@Matt said in The (Less intimidating) Watch Thread:

That's cool @Matt - the bezel kind of reminded me of the Tag (old and new)
-
Yup - that's not chump change

Hallo,
I consider buying the Casio DW-5000R-1A. A watch that I do not need at all, since I have better equipped squares that look very similar. Please provide me with good reasons not to buy the DW-5000R-1A

@RobeOfTheMagi it’s a cool, throwback little watch. I wish I had known you wanted one, a design shop online had them 50% off.
-
Too late … my wife got me one
️
We found it quite old school in a small town family owned brick and mortar, full retail however.
-
@RobeOfTheMagi nice!!! I love a good square. I think the squares play well with IronHeart too.
-
@RobeOfTheMagi I love my G-Shock and in general I started to love my casios even more after making my way up to some more expensive watches, which I mostly sold because I got bored or wanted other stuff. Lately I am wearing my A168 a lot.

I agree with both of you 100%! Square G-Shocks are beautifully designed classless tool watches. No matter how much money I had, I'd still like to wear Casios. The Japan made DW-5000R-1A with a solid steel case and screw down case back really outstanding. I does feel different than my 15 year old solar squared that has travelled the world with me.
