…and the rush is indeed really great. And amen to scary stuff feeling great afterwards. You should get back at it too!

@popvulture hell yeah!! At least we don’t need to be worried about what we’ll wear…IH got us covered, rock star threads through and through!!

Second modded Seiko, which received as a Christmas present. Want to get a rubber strap for it. If anyone has any recommendations, I would be most grateful!

@tody the Ahoi was intended to be Nomos's sport or swimming watch, hence it's got a 200-metre depth rating. Monochrome has an article from 2013 on its initial release. These days it's available in a 36-mm case, which shouldn't be too big for your wrist. I think that I prefer the Club Sport Neomatik, which is a shade bigger at 37 mm, but I'd need to try both on to decide.

@popvulture I agree with @Giles about the Glashütte Original SeaQ range. They start at about the same price as a Submariner but are much finer pieces of watchmaking. I took a look at them when they first came out and I thought that the finishing was better than the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms I compared them with. I'd probably throw the basic Senator Excellence in as another suggestion, if you want something that isn't a dive watch.

My dad got this for me, never had a “smart” watch. Unfortunately I can’t wear it to work for security reasons since it has a built in mic. But pretty neato.

Grew up reading Clive Cussler and always wanted a Doxa. This Nodus ticked that box. Should be here soon.

I sold the two Steeldive watches (SD1953 and SD1975) just to get myself another homage watch without provoking the wrath of my wife to mutch. The following is a San Martin SN0121T-GA. It is a 39mm homage of the Tudor Pelagos made out of grade 2 titanium with a sapphire crystal and an Seiko NH35 movement. It also has a 6 Position Quick adjust for the bracelet and offers a very good value / money ratio. In one point it is, in my opinion, even superior to the Tudor Pelagos, because San Martin does not print the complete Harry Potter epic on it's dial.

i dislike colored carbon, so would go for the red which to me reads as more of a black watch with a pop of red seconds and sub-chapter. It doesnt appear to have any lume on the seconds hand which would annoy me. On any of them I'd change out the strap to a black isofrane. I'm a sucker for cushion case / hooded lugged divers and generally like these overall.

That lume is pretty rad, even if it's missing on the seconds hand
definitely has a 70's era feelHow exactly are the bands quick release? If it limits the use of other aftermarket straps I'd probably be a hard no on it. I've never found a silicone or rubber strap I liked other than the Isofrane.
