Maybe I’ve overshared a bit. Sometimes the forum meets the need of just venting into the ether!

I Suppose these are disturbing and grotesque costs and lengths we go to for this mutt we love so much.

But, pet insurance + no kids + profound loyalty = a dog that gets the best I have to offer.

Granted, if the care I can give him leads to a healthy future, not just dragging out his life for my own selfishness.

@Mizmazzle I just read it now my friend, I'm so sorry that your friend has to go through all this , I hope that after the removal of those fragments in the stomach the situation will return to normal. I'm close to you, every time these things happen it breaks my heart . I hope everything goes well

The endoscopy went well and I got the call this morning saying I can bring Carl home!! Beyond relieved to have him back with me. No lymphoma so that is incredible news. No explanation for the enlarged spleen. Guess that’s something we’ll need to keep an eye on moving forward.

He seems really tired and is resting. I know I’m tired as hell myself.

Driving home!!

I would totally get pet insurance but pit bulls are excluded. Free dog from the pound - pet insurance + kids = cross our fingers she doesn’t get too sick.

True, I love her… but when I was lying in the ground with my entire upper arm in another dog’s mouth she was running in the opposite direction. This bitch is on her own.
