^ Dion is right, I think. Sam does own a pair of IH-555-02. I believe they were his first IH jeans and they’re well worn. Pics on the appropriate thread.

Ok, so I was perusing the Pronto blog and came along this “Larry Smith” brand jewelry… anyone have any clue at all why they’re making,  and why Pronto is selling F***ing  Swastikas? Please correct me if I’m
                Wrong. Are they not swastikas?

Not at all. It’s a shocker wherever you see it for pretty much everyone from a Western society. I do think it’s worth trying to look past that given that it’s cultural significance before the 1930’s was massive and ancient.

Shure as hell I would not wear one of these here in Germany or any other country affected by the great world tour from 1939-45, but if someone from a country where that symbol has a completely different history chooses to wear one, that’s fine by me. That person should just have an eye on the choice of jewelry when traveling.

That’s a good point. I’m all for a bit of cultural sensitivity.

I remember flying into the Maldives (moderate Muslim country) and seeing a young European woman getting off the plain wearing very high heels and a nearly nude mini dress with a thong. You could see what she ate on the plane if she bent over.

Now I’d defend her right to wear whatever she likes normally, but for the 60 mins it takes to transfer from the plane to whatever fantastic island boutique hotel you’re staying at, when you’re in a country where the vast majority of women wear headscarves, then the least you could do is cover your butt.

Aha! The age-old discovery of swastikas on culturally appropriated jewelry.  The question is, @Matty123, are you willing to rock a symbol that for many is viscerally upsetting?  I personally am not, but I also can't bring myself to try and argue that it's only a signifier of nazism.  I can't ever reclaim that symbol or have a good vibes feeling from it.  But, it was never part of my cultural heritage to begin with.  Except for the way the bad influenced the lives of my Jewish ancestors.
