@Matt Prey & Killer of Killers were great, Alien Earth had a fantastic 1st episode and then it went downhill from there in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of everything Alien and Predator but lately they are such huge disappointments. I recommend reading The Complete Aliens Omnibus, hope they turn that into a movie/tv show eventually.

@Matt I enjoyed this movie alot and I’ve always been a huge Alien over predator fan. This movie definitely increased my liking of the predator franchise. I’m excited to see where they take this.

@Matt dude it was goodgood. Movie of the year for me. Just watched it, beautifully engaging.
Guillermo did it as it should be done . While watching, I saw so many Death Stranding winks. I hadn’t realized how much influence he had on Hideo games, but the connection became so much clearer seeing this.
The opening sequence is the shit

I've always been a huge Predator/Aliens fan and just recently binged a marathon on all of them. I really can't say i like one more than the other, but there are def strong and weak points. They've never remotely ruined it though....not like Terminator. I still have yet to watch Killer of Killers or Alien Earth, but I'm not really about turning film franchises into a series. I willl watch em, but i think they'll be judged differently.
It seems to be popular to hate on Prometheus and Covenant, but I love em. Also Romulus was surprisingly good. Sometimes I think Predator 2 is the worst of all, then i watch it again and change my mind. I think Requiem is the worst Predator movie, but then i remember its a mashup, not a true Predator movie, and i like it again.

I’m never very up to date with films but I finally got round to watching Godland (Volaða land / Vanskabte Land) and I imagine it would go down well in these parts. It’s slow and bleak and beautiful. Not sure if I want to visit Iceland after watching it but the cinematography is stunning.
For UK people it’s currently available on iPlayer.

Marty Supreme is complete chaos and maybe the movie of the year.

I think in 2026 I want to at least watch one movie a week... I often just read books and don't watch anything, I swear I said this last year too but maybe next year I'll do it. I can't even name a single movie I've watched this year, I sometimes put something on in the background but end up doing other stuff

as a Scottish person, seeing Susan Boyle repping it makes me want to see it lol

I haven't seen many new movies this year, but The Ballad of Wallis Island is easily my pick for #1 of 2025. Funny but with a definite heart. Sucks you right in from the very start and does not let go. Lots of excellent lines that you just want to commit to memory to whip out at any appropriate moment à la Dumb & Dumber or Pulp Fiction.
Last year's fav film was Perfect Days, if that gives any indication of my taste.

Wake up dead man and one battle after another are magnificent.
