I did a quick trip down Kathryn Bigelow’s filmography and discovered she directed one of my favorite vampire movies, “Near Dark”. It’s from 1987…anyone remember this one? Kind of a gritty vampire/western.

Saw Deliver Me from Nowhere yesterday and my wife and I both really liked it. When it comes to movies in this genre, your enjoyment,I think, starts or ends with you buying into/liking the actor’s portrayal of the main character. I thought Jeremy Allan White did a really good job. I’m not the biggest Springsteen fan,but my wife is,so I needed the story to be more compelling once I settled into JAW playing Springsteen. If any of you are ever in NYC,and would like to come to Asbury Park, I’d be happy to play tour guide.

@Matt dude it was goodgood. Movie of the year for me. Just watched it, beautifully engaging.

Guillermo did it as it should be done . While watching, I saw so many Death Stranding winks. I hadn’t realized how much influence he had on Hideo games, but the connection became so much clearer seeing this.

LOVE “Poor Things” so went into “Bugonia” without watching a trailer (won’t watch a trailer or read up on a movie I know I’ll watch). Stone and Plemons are great in it but if I were to sum it up in one word: NUTS

I also said i would NEVER recommend it to anyone, but here i am

@jordanscollected I definitely appreciated Bugonia and wasn’t one of those “wish I had those 2 hours of my life back” but a hard no on a second viewing. And a great shout out to “bring her back” totally falls in line with; very good watch/very much do not ever need to see again (the self mutilation scenes were brutal)
