I am an 11.5d brannock and wear an 11d in the engineers. It was a struggle to get my feet in as well till they broke in. Even before they were broken in, they outside of the struggle to get my foot in, they were perfect and the most comfortable boots I own. If I had size down a full size, I would have never been able to get my feet in.
-
9.5D on the spot with a bit of arch and the JL 9.5 is like a size too big.
-
I go half size down from brannock too, no way they’d be fitting if I went a full size down.
-
Got my Lofgrens today and they are 10/10. Sized one half down as folks here suggested and they fit well, just the slightest amount of heel slip and snug everywhere else.

-
They look great, Congrats. That heel slip should lessen as you break them in. Mine fit very similarly when I first got this pair.
-
@jdwaid crazy cool boots!! I really prefer the JL toe over all the pancaked out engineers
-
@northsouthdenimguy @FlavourFade thanks fellas. They are truly a work of art, excited to put them into rotation.
-
They are the best engineer silhouette, bar none.
-
Threw the Burgundy pair on for the day.

Anybody here with E width feet wear the el capitan boot? If so, how did you size them? I like the look of the boot but what I've read about the 210 last being narrow is making me second guess the sizing.

-
I was so impressed with the fit and construction of the John Lofgren Wabash Engineers that I went ahead and picked up the El Capitan in Horween Dark Olive CXL. I was drawn to the unstructured toe box and the olive color which I think so unique. This is day 1, no patina and just wear around the house. I’m sure they will age really well.
For those who are interested in sizing - the last on the El Capitan is narrower and shorter than the Wabash engineer. I am a Brannock 11e and went true to size on the El Capitan (size 11) and they ended up being the same length and width as the Wabash engineer which I went half size down (size 10.5).

@SKT thank you I’m super happy with them

Combat boots in tea core cxl.
