@worn2fade pretty much just for the top button to the bottom of the fly where the jeans are sewn together. Like this pic of my 463 which have a fly less than 8” long.

Looks like the measurement you’re requesting is right at 9.5”
For reference as well, the front rise measures 13.25”
Also keep in mind, when new, the rise was 13.5”, I hot soaked and washed for “shrinkage.”

Does anyone have experience with samurai’s tropical weather fabric? I’m looking at the type iii jacket they made out of it but they also made shirts.

@worn2fade Yes. Fabric is lovely but the dye takes to it slightly differently across the face - I have an olive shirt and its slightly lighter where the fabric is slubbier. It kind of looks spotty at first. This seems to fade.
I think the fabric is better in lighter colors where this is less noticable.

@cyclops waist was very tight on my tag 36s, they measured 34.8, was supposed to be around 35.5. They seem to be stretching out a bit but I only have half a dozen wears on them.

Dang, i normally go 32.5 as a baseline where its comfy and fitted, i saw one place for a tag 32 its measuring 31.89 (81cm), so...damn. i think i just need to walk away and not take the risk....its hard though haha

Is it actually a tropical weather kind of fabric? Is it the first shirt you’d grab if temps are high?

@cyclops mine have only stretched out by about half an inch, i bought the 33 and and probably should have gone a 34
I'm only about 10 wears in but I'm on the fence atm if I should keep them. The denim itself is unreal, honestly only beaten by the UHR imo. -
@AskAxel haha yeah you mentioned the UHR, would you say its similar? Im wearing my UHR and love it, though its starting to heat up here. Cant wait to see more fades....

@worn2fade Yes! Its very light and perfect for summer shirt - if it comes around again in white / ecru I will buy another. Would be light for a jacket.
