Iron Heart Loyalty Vouchers - 2026 and Beyond
-
I have to agree with others who have said the vouchers, while a super kind gesture, weren't what kept us coming back. I'm pretty sure we all love this brand for the awesome products. The great people and amazing customer service just send it over the top and make it that much easier to love. Speaking just for myself I'm going to buy the stuff I like regardless of if I am going to be recognized for it. Expecting a reward feels counterintuitive to me and seems to be expected by people too often these days. I think its incredibly admirable that you would offer to replace this with something else, but just continuing to do what you all do and make these fine products is what we really want!
I'm sure you all will still find something that feels right to fill the space, but don't let anyone say you aren't doing enough!

I love the idea of a patch or pin... something small, but exclusive. Then it isn't a financial burden, so much as a club, Also, with the new system... is there any way to apply the purchases of IH we make from rest of your resellers as I try to buy from multiple places to make sure brick and mortar exists... so I can still try on.

Personal opinion: Customer loyalty gifts should be a kind gesture of thanks; not a sales tool or lame marketing gimmick.
-
If I have to demand thanks, it ain’t genuine and I don’t want it. If there is one team on planet earth I trust to show genuine thanks when it’s appropriate, it’s the Iron Heart team. Y’all keep things genuine and we’ll keep supporting.
-
+1 on the sentiment of appreciating the guy who scraped and saved for his only pair of Iron Heart jeans just as much as the guy who bought a half dozen pair last year.

@Alex not trying to sound like a kiss ass here, but as a customer from the US...i'll just say that ya'll covering tariff BS and duties costs is thanks enough for my loyalty!
Also, any extra goodies for nudging me to Japan for the next party only motivates me all the more to make that trip!
I gotta agree w my friend here. I think yall have been so good to us under the thumb of the orange dictator.
Thank you all over at IHUK

Keep on doing what you do, top quality products and best customer service. That's enough loyalty program for me.
I'm quoting my friend because I had exactly that thought in mind. See you in Baltimore @Twistlock

Im not really bothered about the changes. Nor am I interested in more goodies beyond the stickers.
Ive had a couple of loyalty discounts in the past and it did encourage me to get a few more items quicker which i would have put off otherwise. I did also buy more items when there was a discount. So for me, you probably got more money out of me by running these schemes.
However, i Personally prefer to have consistent pricing and stock levels throughout the year, so i can purchase when I need to. My last pair of jeans I had to compromise because my usual 21oz/888s were out of stock everywhere, which was a bit of a disappointment. I still ended up IH, (14oz/888s) but had to order from a shop instead.

Meant to also say my loyalty to the brand is derived from quality and longevity of the product,

A follow and 5 comments a year on each thousand dollar spent
I like this. Here’s a terrible Hunger-Games-type evolution to your idea:
All of the IH staff are ranked from coolest to… well.
When loyal customers reach each new tier, they are rewarded with an IG follow and 5 random comments from the staff member associated with that level. The more you spend, the cooler the person that follows you.
Additionally, notable forum members, such as people who are sent samples to test fade (e.g. @Oaktavia), as well as Mods, are obligated as part of their agreement, that they must participate in periodic events such as special product releases or holidays. These events will include a purchaser’s name drawn at random to receive a follow and 5 comments from a predetermined notable forum member.
Lastly, each year Alex selects a customer of the year! That person receives a genuine photo of @Tago-Mago holding a sign printed on a white sheet of paper that says “you are customer of the year” , and WHILE he adorns a slight grin. The winner will be photoshopped into this photo before they receive it.
Just a point of note: I believe the sign should be printed in black helvetica font, with the year added in pencil so that the paper can be reused the following year.

There’s probably not much to add. If there is a new loyalty scheme I’m confident IH will do it right, but they don’t owe us anything. If the plan behind this works, we should have an even better experience anyway.
I did like the slightly mysterious nature of the old system. It made it feel like a pleasant surprise rather than something transactional and fits with my experience of being treated as a human being in all my interactions with IH. I can’t see that changing.
-
And the person who can only afford one or two things a year probably isn’t in a hurry to spend more money so a voucher doesn’t help them at all. That doesn’t mean they’re not good customers. But if you’re spending several thousands per year and helping @Alex keep the lights on year in and year out then an extra $50 isn’t go to make or break anyone and it keeps the whales spending while letting them know they’re “loyalty” is appreciated.
It’s really sad this thread turned into what it did but equally as sad is how predictable it was.

I never liked the site wide sale always felt like i missed it and ordered before one. Didn't use voucher last year but still bought a lot of items later/before.
Some kind of pin or a mug or something that's a surprise would be nice. Just a postcard with the IH team on it with signatures and thank you.And it need to be secret who gets it , i never figured out how much to spend to get vouchers i liked it that way.
I seriously don't wanna buy 10 pair of jeans to get the right to buy the new 30 OZ BB jeans or something silly like that. -
I vote for patches, pins, stickers, mugs, branded pens or pencils etc, just packaged into the appropriate peoples orders.

My thoughts :
-
I agree with others on the elitist aspect. it's fundamentally wrong to provide either early access or exclusive items that the "inner circle" or those that can afford will be the only beneficiaries of.
Many may and probably will disagree. -
Anything that requires designing, sourcing, manufacturing, and delivering yet MORE product when that is part of the fundamental problem in the first place is just a bad idea and totally defeats the purpose. Be it a mug, a calendar, a pin badge, a bag of crips or whatever. It doesn't matter if it's made in Japan or Woking, it all takes time and effort and is a distraction.
If the crew want to drop stuff like this in as one offs whenever they choose to whoever they choose that is their prerogative, but anything beyond that becoming some kind of "right' or "expectation" or “scheme” is only gonna end in tears. As sadly, some of the comments on this thread show. It's like when people start dishing out employee of the month, More hassle than it is worth. There are many ways of rewarding/acknowledging people and their contributions for many reasons. Mostly kept private. At the general workplace or towards a customer. All at the crews discretion as should be the way. -
If anything I'd revert to Alex's original idea of some kind of "allowance" to whatever gathering may or may not take place. A voucher for a hot dog, a free beer, a tenner to your train ticket. the financial aspect of it is secondary. It's the gesture, doesn't matter if you are loaded or skint, if someone gives you a tenner or a fiver or a pair of socks or a shake of the hand I'd appreciate it.
Yes many people will never ever be able to attend a gathering, so what. Let's hope those that do have a great time. It's like a football team wanting to sack their mgr cos their team didn't win the league, if that was your only criteria for success or enjoyment then every year 95% of fans would be constantly raging. You have to find some other measure of success and happiness.
If you can attend a gathering, fantastic, if you can't, then you've presumably been able to buy and wear some of the best clothes around and you ABSOLUTELY FU**ING LOVE THEM so really, you are a winner already. -
The point here seems to be to reduce the strain on the entire operation from sourcing to delivery. which must be critical or all the changes wouldn't be very bravely getting made. I've spent a lifetime knee deep in supply chain related stuff so I get it. Anything that takes the focus of the team away from keeping the very considerable amount of plates spinning all year round because someone is griping about not getting the right sticker or chocolate bar or staff member 'X' forgot to put extra kisses on the big spenders Christmas card is just a distraction no one needs. It will only add to the hassle, increase the likelihood of moaning and people feeling left out and take folks eye off the ball.
As this thread has shown, the whole loyalty thing in the first place was low key, most people wouldn't be aware of it, so to bring it out of the shadows and come up with a new version in my opinion will just become a millstone. -
The biggest loyalty reward any customer can get is for the brand to simply be able to keep doing what they do and delivering the goods to the level they do and continue to foster the community and the whole 'story'. Most people have zero idea of the complexities : commercial, personal, logistical that go into bringing anything to market. You may think you do but you'd still probably be nowhere near it. To do it so successfully day in day out at this level is no mean feat.
We need to respect that and let the team actually focus on delivering the goods. In fact if I make it to any kind of gathering then really it should be us buying THEM a beer. I am relatively new to this but have picked up quite a few things in a short space of time and I totally love it.
It's like when you find a new favourite band, you'd be gutted if they split up.
So I don't want the wheels to come off because the "Men of Iron Heart" calendar has had a delay at the printers and the big spenders are raging.
I've already gone on too long but you get the gist.

@Stringthing75 …and an excellent gist at that. Thank you.
